2026 Mustang GT (scheduled week of 6/29)
Car was built July 1st
First ETA was July
Second ETA was August
Now the third ETA is September….
No answer on what is delaying it , dealership has no knowledge either
It’s supposed to be shipped to Louisville KY by convoy
This anticipation is killing me 😭

Build is a 2026 GT 301A with the nite pony package , active valve exhaust in vapor blue with the 10 speed.

Anyone else have their Mustang get delayed this much? I’ve never ordered a car from the factory before so this is all new to me

Something is fishy in tuna town. I suspect it may have been damaged or deemed undeliverable. Try using the chat in the Ford app. They helped me locate mine when there was no progress between the built and shipped stage.

You should have an option to talk to a live person. I don’t remember the exact step but I remember having to have the VIN and order number when I talked to the lady on the phone. She actually had to check and call me back.

I’ll take another look at the chat, sucks there’s no communication, for all I know it’s just sitting at the ramp , I was told it lables as shipped as soon as it goes out the door of the plant

Unfortunately you are correct. My 2025 showed BUILT and two days later SHIPPED. Unfortunately it took just over a month for it to get delivered to my dealer in Colorado Springs. The window sticker showed CONVOY, but that’s just the initial shipping method. In my case it trucks from the plant to another Flat Rock Railyard (some cars are driven right on the train at another Railyard). Mine just missed the train heading west, so it had to wait and wait and wait. It then traveled by rail to Denver, then convoy/truck to Colorado Springs. I think they hold back on info as if we knew more we might ask smarter questions, for which we’d get lots of dumb answers.

If I would’ve ordered it to a dealer down here in Florida it would’ve been shipped by rail, but since I ordered it to a dealer in my home state of KY it’s being put on a truck going directly to KY.

I just know other people I talked to on Facebook had theirs built the same week as mine and got it shipped and delivered 1-2 weeks after that while I’m still waiting on mine , I know it’s a lot of logistics but makes me wonder a whole lot

Like you wrote, it's logistics. It may also be due to part shortages (remember Covid?) that allowed them to build most of the car but it's waiting for one specific part, or a recall/hold that's waiting for a fix... any number of things.

Don't let paranoia get the best of you (it got accidently crushed and they're building another one) or imagine something bad. These things (unexpected delays) happen.
