A fascinating look at a movie buff's replica Mad Max XB Interceptor... and of all places, in the UK.
Two years in the making, and the attention to detail is incredible, especially the fake supercharger.

Grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy.

That close-up shot of the fuel cap triggered memories of my own 1977 XC Fairmont GXL. A 4.9L V8, Holley carb, the crappy 3-speed auto, and brakes that were terrible!
A death trap by today's standard, but lots of fun at the time.

I remember this movie as a young lad. It was terrifying to think that could be the future, I remember the tag line for the movie add. "Pray that he's out there, somewhere". Great movie. Great car.

Published just a few days ago, another video on the old Mad Max XB coupe.

Why the Mad Max Interceptor Was the Perfect Ford

The 351 Cleveland V8 was one of Ford's finest performance engines.
Built in Cleveland, raced in Australia, and immortalized in cinema.

I believe there is a factual error in the video towards the end.
The 351 Cleveland was still available in the XC, XD and XE Falcons.
It didn't end with the XB.
