Its crazy with the amount of inventory on dealer lots that people are ordering these.

Not to be a Turd, but 40F isn’t exactly super cold. Maybe a flannel and some jeans. I mean at 5am it would be sketchy but mid day 40F solid drive in most places in midwest USA
40 degrees is cold for summer tires. At that point it is like rolling around on Fred Flintstone rocks.

No, it isn't. If I wanted a black or grey Mustang GT with a black interior, an automatic transmission, and no Performance Package, sure, there are a lot to choose from. If you want a stick shift, Performance Package, MagneRide, and a non-black interior, there are few. Throw in a few other choices, and there are zero.
Some people may have enough money that they can buy a new car every few years, so if the current one isn't exactly what they want, big deal, they'll replace it before wearing out the first set of tires. For some of us, this is a dream car that we plan to own for well over a decade.

I have to agree, I have the summer tires, and it's best not to take a fun corner @ 50F, but when it hit 80F man I swear I have a completely different car. (in my reply I forgot about the tires)
