Ok, so I've written about this issue before and Ford tried to fix it in there last update but the software wizards got it wrong. Original issue was that the 24 hour mode clock would not stay in 24 hour mode after a few cycles and would revert back to normal clock mode. So in the update now if you set it to 24 hour mode it last just 24 hours until it revers back to normal mode, way to go guys you totally missed the point of having the clock in 24 hour mode ALL THE TIME not just for 24 hours.

Oddly enough... I just checked and sure enough, mine reverted to 12 hour time some time in the past. I changed to 24 hour today and will monitor.

I have both of my Mustangs set to 24 hour mode since I purchased the cars 5 months ago, granted neither are daily drivers, but I have not had the issue on either one of my 24 Mustangs reverting back to 12 hour time. You mentioned an update, oddly enough the Ecoboost has gotten a hand full of them, but my 5.0 has not received one OTA.

I did some FORSCAN updates, and noticed my colors got reset, and a couple other bits and bobs, but didn’t even think to check my clock setting. I’ll check it tomorrow and see if it reverts.

I don’t have the clock issue but I did some FORSCAN updates (180 speedo and show gear in D) and my colors reset to stock. I didn’t change them back. About 4-5 drives later, it switched back on its own to my color settings. 🤷‍♂️

How do you do FORSCAN updates? I want to turn off Active Noise Cancelling on my 24 GT, which is done with FORSCAN, but my dealer doesn't have it. Is there a way for me to do it?

A dealer will not use FORscan. FORscan is used primarily by enthusiasts like ourselves and some independent shops. They use official Ford diag tools and software that is much more expensive.

Start with this forum post to see what is currently available (and easy) to do. Visit the FORscan site and read up. You can download the software and find out what OBDII device you need. Visit YouTube for tutorials.

Generally speaking it is easy to use, but you can’t go just changing things. You can “brick” some modules in your car.

BIG REMIDER when you do use it. Always back up. I also take pics as I am doing it with my phone.

I don’t have much experience as I just started using it and change my speedo, gear selector, and a few other known documented changes,

Hope this helps.

Myth debunked, Jamie. At least for me, I don’t doubt you have the symptom.

Drove the Dark Horse last night, still sporting the 24h time format.

Solid advice right there. FORSCAN can be used to check and clear codes as well as make module changes. get rid of the double honk, get rid of the seat belt splash screen, show constant gear display, etc., etc. suppress the seat belt chimes. I always use them on roads, but on my property I don’t sometimes, like getting tools like the chainsaw sharpener I forgot, or stuff like that. On my Raptor, the manual procedure wouldn’t work - done by me, 1 service tech and then the senior tech at my local stealership. None of us could get it to stop. Bur Forscan did !

THIS. I do the same thing - backup, picture before hand - because you never know.
when you make the as built backups, copy those backups to another location, in case your FORSCAN computer hard drive dies.

Would love to hear what FORSCAN settings you adjusted for 'show gear in D'. Or where to look on Livnitup's spreadsheet...

Full credit for this one to @roadpilot
IPC
use the “easy method” scroll through the options list and select “Continous gear display"
write the change and ...
Bob’s your uncle, now the gear shows on all the days themes, even custom, Fox, ’68 etc.
