Took almost a week and a half but I got the OEM paint today. Straight away it looks so much better. The shade of gray and the depth it gives looks great. Here it is compared to the other paints I had, OEM paint is the bottom left (still wet in the photo):

I won't be able to get to fixing the rock chips until next week but I think we have a winner.

Anyway, photo of my new wheels just for 24GTBadlands:

Took the dr color chip kit out to test the color today and it is a little bit darker. I think I’ll order the oem touch up paint just to make sure i wont regret it later. Here’s a comparison (touch up is still wet). From some angles it looks a lot darker and others it looks somewhat close, but still noticeably darker, all with less flake.

Agreed. Way too dark. I’m in the middle of fixing mine with the OEM as we speak. Once it’s complete I’ll take a photo.

Contact on the M6G forum.. I got Ruby red and Vapor blue from him.. you will get 3 bottles.. primer, base, clear. Perfect match and his bottles are very good.

Do you have any photos of the chips you've covered with this kit on your vapor blue? I'm leaning towards OEM since it it super hard to match metallic grays, but this 3 stage paint is a bit intriguing. Not sure I have enough patience/skill to properly get 2-3 coats on small chips, let alone 1 😆.

This is in work I slowly go at it.. this is on the a pillar edge and to the inside towards the windshield. Still needs clear. The bottles you get have a small tip that allows you to put a small amount in the chip.

Color matches very well. My ability to apply paint is lacking.

The clear coat is making it look brighter than it was. I ran out of time, but I'll go back and wet sand and polish to blend the clear in better.
