When I went from my 93 Z/28 to my 02 Civic I had my first experience with the cabin air filter. I do remember working at the auto parts store at the time and we'd just started to begin stocking them so that was about the time of widespread adoption.
I took it out and left it out. If I had a family I drove around yes for their health I would rock one; otherwise I'm in FL and I don't need to place anything in between myself and the idea of being comfortable in trillion-degree heat. It's the same concept as removing your engine air filter for more power but without the downside of doing massive engine damage by something getting sucked in.
Idk if anyone else does this. I am anti-cabin air filter; too hardcore about cold air to mess with em.
