Title pretty much describes it. This occurs when turning hard say to get out of the garage. Kinda like when you run over something and your tire feels like it slides a bit then pops on the pavement. I say pavement but with these big 305s on my new HP Dark Horse I wonder if maybe the tire could be catching on a fender lip? No visual evidence of such.

I will say it’s only during a very slow hard turn; car drove perfect on a 90 mile spirited run after i first noticed this.

Any thoughts?

Just trying to avoid taking it in if it’s no big deal.

That happened to me too on my GT Premium convertible. Backing out of a parking space, felt like I clipped the curb but was not even close.

Normal, down to the steering geometry
Whoa, really?

I’m [pleasantly] surprised if itā€˜s normal because itā€˜s pretty disconcerting. I don’t remember my ’24 GT doing it but maybe I just didn’t turn it as hard.

Google 'Ackerman steering'. Mustang is not as pronounced as my Lotus was but wider stickier tyres make it more obvious. Always seems to be worse in reverse.

Check to see if Ford left the shipping blocks in the front springs. I have heard of countless people finding this. Just my 2 cents!

Hickory nuts. Should have seen the look on my wife’s face when she ran over and crushed one for the first time. Squirrels get fed up trying to break in and leave them all over the concrete.

Thanks for this! I did google it up and it puts my mind at ease. Come to think of it, it sounds exactly like the bump you get from an old 4WD vehicle if you keep the hubs engaged on pavement. Similar principle I’m sure. And no doubt the 305 Trofeos up front add fuel to the fire too.

Iā€˜ve bought 4 new Mach 1s in 22-23, two from the same dealer. In every single case when I came to take delivery they had left in the shipping blocks. This DH was on the showroom floor and when I went to take delivery, guess what! Ford really ought to crack down on that crap. There’s no excuse!

Yep, same problem here with acorns. When this first happened I got out to look and there was a big crushed acorn there but that wasn’t the problem as it turns out.

I appreciate the help!
