Hi, I currently have steeda xpipe, small corsa resonators and corsa axlebacks. While it does sound good at wot. I am not a fan of the start up noise. Plus, it can still be a bit loud. I was looking at borla stypes as people say its a deeper tone. On videos, the startup sounds great. I also think stypes will be more quiet vs corsa. I was just looking for more videos of the stypes, prefer active system. There isnt really many videos of the stypes.
Thanks.

Here is one for you. Full cat back borla s type
That sounds really good!!! Already warmed up so the Remote Rev’s were instant. I want to ask, how did you upload the clip?? What resolution did you record in so as not to have to put on YouTube and then share the link??

Again though, it sounds really really good.

Recorded on iPhone 13 Pro, 4k 60fps. Cropped and blurred in Davinci Resolve and exported as follows:

I've had a couple of Borla S Type Cat Backs. The current version with unresonated X Pipe is very loud. Start-up wakes up the neighbors for sure. Once it quiets down LOL it;s very raspy, lots of popping when backing off throttle and flat roars when WOT. That said, both times, replaced the X pipe with a Borla Resonated H Pipe. Pretty simple switch. Car is much quieter with a deep sound. Virtually no popping and it still roars in WOT

The corsa resonators I have helped lower the volume a bit when I had corsa xtreme. Oh man, corsa xtreme was obnoxious lol. But i still have corsa xtreme, just with the two small resonators. I was eyeing borla stype since I would expect it to be more quiet than corsa and with a deeper tone as well. I will still keep the two small corsa resonators I have to tame it.

Not sure why everyone is saying the s-type is raspy. Is not raspy at all. sound is very clean and relatively deep.
Resonator delete, crorsaxtreme, borla atak...those are raspy

The stypes are not raspy like you said they are. Nowhere as loud either compare to corsa xtreme or borla atak on start up. I wouldnt say it wakes the dead up either. Also, why would you get rid of the popping? Thats one of the best things when going to aftermarket exhaust. My corsa pops and I love it.

Well, just responding to the question posed. That said, opinions and personal preferences are great and respect yours. IMO, the loud raspy - popping is obnoxious :) I like the deep tone and scream when WOT. Noise aside, it's horsepower, torque, traction and the driver who makes the difference

this video makes me happy. i'm glad that exhaust system manufacturers have shed the "make it loud and raspy" days of the S550. now it feels like every brand has it's own sound and identity instead of the rasp wars of 2015-2023. this video has also 100% cemented my choice of new exhaust to Borla S-Type
