My blind spot monitoring works in any mode. That definitely shouldn’t happen

Driving Modes do not affect this feature.

Surprisingly, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) can be turned on and off in the 7G.

1. Confirm BLIS is enabled, that it wasn't disabled by mistake. If BLIS is disabled, turn it on. Confirm the sensors in the rear of the car are not being blocked or obscured.

2. If BLIS is enabled but not working, disable the feature, wait a few moments and re-enable. There's an off chance the service was pestered and needed a reset. Wouldn't hurt. Might save a trip to the dealer. If it later fails again, the insight could help the dealer techs with t-shooting.

3. If the feature continues to fail, set up an appointment with the dealer to have them investigate.

Edit,

"blind spot monitor". There's another "blind spot" service, Blind Spot Assist. If the OP was concerned about that, I've attached an Owner's Manual reference. Blind Spot Assist can also be enabled and disabled.

Blind Spot Assist and BLIS are two separate features. One does not affect the other. Neither are affected by the driving mode (Sport, Track, etc.).

BLIS is not dependent on other features.

Blind Spot Assist is dependent on the Lane Keep Assist Service; this feature must be enabled for Blind Spot Assist to work.

It is turned on, when I turned it off and on, the light flashes on the mirror but does not give any indication.
Thanks for your reply😊

There are two separate features.

Blind Spot Assist. This feature uses the car's sensors to check the blind spot and take evasive action. Lane Assist needs to be turned on for Blind Spot Assist to work. Not to confuse anyone, but a driver might think of it as "active BLIS".

BLIS by itself is warning only, in the mirror. BLIS does not require Lane Assist to be enabled. I've had Lane Assist disabled since owning my vehicle. BLIS has continued to operate without issue, any driving mode.

I could not find a reference in the Owner Manual stating BLIS was dependent on any other featue. While most of us appreciate and use BLIS, we have Lane Assist disabled.
