Seems I've seen those $2500 half shafts much cheaper.
I'm sure you have. I was just posting this pic from ford performance page (MSRP) just to show the part numbers and shafts. I would assume if anyone wants to purchase they would do some online shopping/price comparison to find the best deal.

the DH already has upgraded axels they are assumed to be equivalent to the gt350
but as Murphy's law on youtube proved both will break at a drag strip with drag tires

I got a response from ford about the gt350 axles from the engineer that designed the GT350 axles. I ordered the Ford racing ones from Steeda. Below is what Ford said

The GT350 half shaft kit would only be a moderate upgrade for your car. These halfshafts are production GT350 ones. The GT350 made roughly 30hp more than your Dark Horse did (in stock form), so these aren’t really designed to handle huge power like you’ll have with a supercharger. While they are certainly an upgrade over the stock Dark Horse halfshafts, you will be using them in a build that they aren’t really designed for. On the street with stock tires, I don’t foresee any issues but if you were to put a stickier tire on...you might start breaking the halfshafts.

It seemed like for a while there people were talking about upgrading just one side (Forget which) to the GT350 axle and thinking that was going to hold

According to Ford, if you're staying stock-ish with sticker tires, that might be okay! I don't like they idea of may or may not when it comes to the price of my car.

Just FYI, If anyone is going to buy the GT350 axles, LMR seems to have the best price...

I hear the Dark Horse already has upgraded half shafts. Just picked up a Premium one I could not turn down, and want to slap a Procharger on it.
