Yep… the pop is normal on Track mode with Active Exh. Mine does the same. I don’t hear any other weird noises. Adding H or X pipe will not remove it. However, get use to the noise.

Well if its exhaust pop and burble thats perfectly normal, you can verify by rolling down windows with stereo off and listen for it. The clunk i had would happen when slowing and you'd hear and sometimes feel it in the rear like trunk area. If you think its the latter take it in to dealership. Cheers 🍻
You can also verify by putting it in quiet mode. The pops and burbles will go away.

When your car made that noise due to the output shaft, was it one single noise? Did it happen everytime you were slowing down? Thanks for the input.
You are hearing normal exhaust noise on the S650. Mine does it normal mode. Most people like this aspect of the exhaust. If you were hearing the clunk it would be more mechanical and you can feel it in the drive line. Dont go down the rabbit hole looking for things that aren't wrong with your car. Drive and enjoy.

Mine does it in normal mode. Just not as loud. I agree if he's doesnt like that characteristic of the exhaust, he will likely not enjoy that x-pipe.

This is my first S650 Mustang, GT Premium, A10. I'm closing in on 600 miles. When I'm driving in Normal or Sport mode with the exhaust in Track mode, I get a random loud pop when slowing down. I can actually feel it from the rear trunk area if that makes sense. It does not always happen. I'm leaning towards the exhaust as the source. I've read online that people with the Dark Horse reported the same thing, and it was the Active Exhaust.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I just ordered the Ford Performance X pipe. My questions: are does this noise eventually go away as the engine breaks-in? Will the noise get worse with the FORD X Pipe?

PS. I've owned a 2020 and 2023 A10, GT California Special with active exahust and never heard this on those with and without the Ford Performance X pipe.
Well, the good news is it gets better the more miles you put on. By the time you get between 1000-1500 miles, you will have a veritable symphony of sounds. Sit back and enjoy it because many sports cars don't come with this feature! Glenn

It was a single clunk heard in the back around trunk area. It happened almost every time i was slowing down to a stop around 25mph and under. Like the driveshaft was bound up and then released causing it to unbind and that was what caused the clunk. You'd probably know it wasn't the exhaust if you had it. It seemed it was inside the car rear behind trunk. Goodluck with it. 🍻

Thanks for chiming in. I just find it weird that my 2020 and 2023 S550's with active exhaust did not do this.
My 2020 did, even before I started modding it.
