Does anyone know how the e-brake works? Maybe someone has a schematic or parts walkthrough, so I can see how it works?

I ask as I strongly dislike ABS and traction control, and disable it entirely for track. In the 2023, you could pull fuse 5 (Automatic brake system pump) and kill ABS, which also disabled all traction control/etc, but everything else was OK, including the proportioning valve. On the 2024 I see fuse 29 exists for this same purpose. I'd imagine that the legislation for an emergency brake system is that it must be separate in some capacity. So I also, therefore, imagine that the e-brake on the 2024 is not dependent upon ABS?

Can anyone confirm? As I plan to buy manual, and I plan to use no ABS on the track, I'm quite curious.

Thanks

it looks like fuse 23, 28, and 29 from the BCMC/BJB all power the ABS module. a different fuse in the BCM controls the parking brake switch. however, it looks like the ABS module powers the electronic parking brake, meaning that you likely lose parking brake abilities if you remove power from the ABS module, as well as who knows what other electrical stuff happening

To clarify a bit, pulling fuse 5(Automatic brake system pump) in the 2023 is all that is required. Pulling this fuse leave the ABS module active and running, which is likely why proportioning functionality is still there.

This fuse is the same label as 29 in the 2024, so as with the 2023, most likely pulling 29 will 100% disable ABS. You're saying that the ABS module powers the parking brake, but there's no need to disable 23 or 28.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't notice the separate fuse for the e-brake in the "body control module fuse box", fuse 9.(Intrusion sensor module. Performance electric parking brake.).

Would you be able to clarify a bit on your ABS->ebrake statement? Was it a schematic, or did you try a test pull (if so, thanks!)

edit: come to think of it, there must be something unique for the e-brake system. For example, I don't think ABS would work if there was a power fail, but the e-brake must work if the car is off, and the battery is pulled. And the inverse, the e-brake must not come on if you're towing the car and suddenly the battery dies.

I guess what I'm saying is the ABS system could control the functionality, but there must be some local mechanical aspect to it? Wish someone had schematics.

What was the outcome of this? Does pulling fuse 29 fully disable ESC/AdvanceTrac? I've also noticed this car holds back even with stability control "fully disabled" from within the cabin. I'm surprised more people aren't complaining. I guess most people don't push these cars to their limits (on private property of course!)
