Do the fender emblems have locator holes. I'm thinking of deleting mine altogether.

Yes they do, so if you remove them they will have a small square hole to worry about

I bought this kit from Amazon and it went on well. Only slight problem I ran in to is the alignment posts on the back of the new badges were slightly too large in diameter and I had to shave a little off with an Xacto knife to get them to fit properly.

Am I the only person who thinks the placement of 5.0 badge on the S650 is too high up fender?

I hadn't thought of that but indeed, it does look a bit high. I'd say 1.5 to 2" lower would probably be aesthetically better.
