May 6, 2025---4 men (including a Ford Employee) were arrested by Dearborn (MI) PD for stealing millions in Ford parts right off the assembly line; including at the Flat Rock Mustang plant!

“Parts were allegedly stolen from the Dearborn, Flat Rock and Wayne plants. These plants build some of Ford's most popular models: Dearborn builds the F150; in Flat Rock, they build the Mustang; and Wayne builds the Ranger and the Brnco.”

Hhhhmmmm???? Might partially explain why so many S650 builds have taken so long.

They mention Mustangs being stolen. I wonder how they were doing that as the Mustang from what I know, has a pretty sophisticated anti-theft system. At least compared to Dodge, Kia etc.

Both true. The article mentions one of the four suspects is/was a Ford Employee; they had to have a position that allowed entry and exit at at least 3 different plants.........................and as you say; there is almost no way they were getting the quantity of (in some cases) fairly large parts like bumper covers out without at least one security person being on the take.

Trust me when I tell you I know. My dad and father-in-law retired from Ford. My mother was management at Ford and I did 7 years at a Ford dealer.
I remember back in the mid 90s they stole 600 sets of SVO aluminum heads that they were going to use to build crate engines overnight. Had to go out on a rail car is all I can figure.

I live in the Detroit area, and the vehicles are kept in large parking lots with the keys in them. They are stolen very frequently, it is on the news weekly.
