24E05 Recall RECALLED - Again!

I had scheduled to have the BCM reprogrammed under the 24E05 Recall. When the tech got here he looked it up[ and found that the recall has been recalled and to NOT do the reprogram. This is the second attempt to fix the Start/Stop issue - not that I care.

E is an emissions recall, something that also acts as a delivery hold. they cant remove it unless the recall is completed. which, with it being on hold indefinitely, is not going to be soon

How will I know when the recalled recall has been fixed and Ford issues a new recall?

the recall recall recall will apply to the original recall recall, allowing the original recall to be done, no new recall. ask your dealer to contact you at that time

I asked if I could decline this recall while in for service and they said no. :(

thats not right. if the vehicle was sold to you before the recall came out, you have every right to decline the recall. the dealer cannot hold it for that

I got a phone call from my Ford dealer last week. They said the Recall was back on. I made an appointment for today and the Tech came to the house. when he went to apply the corrected software for 24E05, his laptop said it wasn't needed.
Ford is still confused.
