Hello, hope you are doing good. I just delivered a 2024 Ford mustang eco-boost to a customer of mine, they love the vehicle, but would like to get rid of the auto start stop option. When ordered ford didn’t give us this delete option like they have for other models.

I remember on my bronco there was a little plug connected to the battery wires that you could unplug and it would stop auto start stop. Is there a similar situation with the new mustang eco-boost? I’ve done tons of research on stuff online I could buy offset this without having to do a Forscan tool wipe of the option but haven’t found anything helpful. Need to keep the warranty and avoid codes if possible.

please let me know your thoughts on this. want to make sure I help them.

Interesting enough, you're the first person to report having a vehicle with the auto start/stop feature.

Those of us with early builds who have already taken delivery don't have it.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure there's no way to remove it. It was only left off early builds due to supply chain constraints.

I am not 100% certain that it is fully operational, but it does have a button with the a N Circle that you can push on and off.

If they do not have the on/off button as the left most button on the strip with "my mustang" and "favorite", then they need to setup a custom mode. In there you can permanently turn off Auto Start/Stop. The down side is, the car does not automatically use the last mode, so every time they get in the car they have to hit the "mode up" button on the left side of the steering wheel twice.

My 2018 grand Cherokee has this, I,just push the off button everytime I start it. My mustang is a manual, so it doesn’t have one
