anyone know how to calculate ORC in VIC? no websites tell you how to work it out, and everyone i speak says "it depends"
my understanding is

Dealer delivery about $2000
Stamp Duty: $4047 (based on $77,002)
Vicroads fee: About $100

so about $6100?

also i notice that LCT threshold is 76,950
https://www.ato.gov.au/Rates/Luxury-car-tax-rate-and-thresholds/
does that mean, the mustang will have LCT applied?

The Ford Build and Price calculator is up and running on the Australian website. It will include driveaway price based on your postcode and include all fees. The only firm thing I’ve had from my dealer is Dealer Delivery at $3K.

Well, i have cancelled mine. $91k was not near my go to.
Considering the ecoboost or second hand M2 comp...
ughhh
Sorry to hear you’ve cancelled. Mine has also come out at $91K driveaway. GT, 6sp, Magneride, Vapour Blue, Black pack. I’ll wait to see the official quote come back from the dealer, but at this stage think I’ll go ahead, although it is a few more grand than I expected. Good for those with an S550 though - their values should continue to hold up.

Thats disappointing we lost 40Hp on the DH.......oh well......bring on the supercharger pack........crazy the actual prices as well.

Interestingly, no build for Darkhorse model.

2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse adds (over GT):
  • 349kW/548Nm 5.0-litre V8 with six-speed Tremec manual or 10-speed auto
  • Wider 19-inch wheels (19x9.5-inch front, 19x10-inch rear)
  • Six-piston front Brembo brakes with 390mm discs
  • Torsen torque-sensing rear differential
  • 3D-printed titanium gear selector ball (manual only)
  • Transmission and rear-axle coolers (both transmissions)
  • Transmission oil cooler (manual only)
  • Auxiliary brake cooling ducts
  • MagneRide adaptive suspension with unique tuning
  • Stiffer front springs
  • Darkened LED headlights
  • Unique front and rear fascias, fixed rear spoiler, Dark Horse badges
  • Tweaked steering wheel with microsuede inserts, anodised silver shift paddles (automatic only), dedicated drive mode button
  • Bright Indigo Blue contrast stitching
  • Blue seatbelts
  • Gloss black interior trim accents

DH does not make any sense. GT will be quicker, considering the DH kerb weight increase over the GT.
It's baffling.
but will it be 'real' quoted figures...
Will be interesting to see if the Dyno figuresdo come out a little on top of what the Aussie/Euro specs suggest...

Thats a common misconception. Weight isnt that much different. This from Carexperts specs and pricing article:

Kerb weight is as follows:

  • EcoBoost Fastback: 1746kg
  • GT Fastback manual: 1813kg
  • GT Fastback auto: 1841kg
  • GT Convertible: 1881kg
  • Dark Horse manual: 1822kg
  • Dark Horse auto: 1842kg

For me the DH still makes sense if you can afford it because it will keep its value better and is more exclusive.

Also if you are a manual guy, buying the DH for the Tremec makes a lot of sense. Not to mention the DH gets the Torsen diff for the first time in Aussie history.

GT is also down on power compared to US. But not as much as DH.

Hopefully its just a matter of a tune update......when its unlocked
Yeah CarExperts article says its calibration and exhaust manifold. So by the time the warranty is gone, stick some Cooks headers on the thing, tune it and by then they will be unlocked.

Got a 2019 GT brand new for under $62k just over 4 years ago - sure it was on the lot and not a factory order so dealer was willing to negotiate. Sold it at the height of covid as a 2year old car with 25,000km for more than I paid new with the intent of buying back in with the new model.

but to buy the new equivalent now over $91k rrp - ouch.
