Does anyone have a mustang on ship Carmen
yep, I did.
My dealer told me on Monday it with the others all went straight into quarantine.
he says Ford don’t really give him much, but believes it might be around a week before it’s all cleaned up and released to the dealership.

Again the caveat applied, that there were no firm time frames. How does a business still exist going this way?

I see Carmen got into Melb on 21 Feb. (https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules)
Tortugas arrived on 17 Jan and we're still waiting for these Mustangs. Tosca arrived a day before it and both lots of Mustangs are (supposedly) being washed now.
Do you know if the Mustangs on Carmen got through biosecurity? If so, they should have arrived at the dealership by now. If not, then they'll go in the queue to be washed.
I wish they would clean them on the ship whilst at sea for 2 months (longer for Tosca and Tortugas due to the port strike action over Dec/Jan) rather than dumping them at Aus ports contaminated.

Great news the Mustangs on Carmen got through Quarantine (very jealous). You should get them this week then I would imagine.

The dealer did say some were cleaned (low level quarantine I was told which involved just a spray and clean) and released within 6 days.

Thanks for that, this quarantine crap is a joke. This whole thing is a joke, I feel sorry for everyone still waiting between the recalls not being fixed and the quarantine issues the hype and excitement in my end is gone.

Thanks for that, and I'm so sorry that you have been waiting so long knowing yours are in the country.

Yeah, it’s pretty sh*t to be honest! Ordered June 23, Built Sep 24, shipped Nov 24, arrived in Melb 18th Jan 25 (a month later than eta) and now still sitting there, baking in the sun and in the salty sea spray.

Ok, so after another peek today, I’m starting to get a little excited. Lots of mustangs with a wiper up, which would indicate that these have been washed. Also saw a bunch of them lined up waiting to go into a shed (couldn’t get a photo of them as I was driving over the Westgate bridge but see photos below of (looks like) completed Mustangs.

Great scoop alwrighty!
i know a bunch of mustangs were released last week with a some remaining awaiting a clean which could possibly be these?
mine is Vapour Blue GT, so this one could be mine (I could be completely misguided so happy for other VB GT owners to make the same claim 😉)
Here’s fingers crossed that it isnt too far away now. 🤞

The buying experience with Ford makes one feel like a mushroom.. one is kept in the dark and fed sh**t by the dealerships !!!

The dealers know more than what they say.

My approach was to just turn up to the dealership and ask point blank.
I also found that the person who is in the know is the Stock Controller, as they have tabs on what is coming in and leaving the dealership. They have all the shipping and dock updates including the level of quarantine (if any).

I know I saw this list (on the computer sitting next to his desk) with my name against the car and that it was a single dot point - meaning a basic low level clean for quarantine. Others had multiple lines (I didn't look or was interested if it was the same ship or not - but its all there). I think they just couldn't be bothered - say really, but reality is they don't make a lot on the Mustang and if you are not a regular buyer (ie don't have a fleet account) then there is even less interest in you.

That's the reality (from what I have seen to date) and reason most of us have gotten our cars so late.
