Car back on the road today after winter storage. Need help with the following:
1. I have forgotten how to disable rev match in my manual DH - anyone know how to do that?
2. I couldn't get cool air to blow through the dash vents today no matter how low I turned down the temperature setting -...
Having had superchargers before there is usually a 14-16% loss from crankshaft to rear wheels. For 810 hp at the crank that would translate to 680-697 RWHP. I’m quite happy with 683 for an engine that has yet to be broken in.
Just got my Dark Horse back from DaSilva Racing in Pickering, Ontario where they installed a Roush Phase 2 supercharger. Dyno results came in at 683 RWHP and 541 RWTQ. No other modifications were done. For those of you who may be in Southern Ontario and looking for a top notch Mustang shop...
I have a Dark Horse with the handling package - my tires are 305/30R19 on the front and 315/30R19 on the back. Can I put 285/35R19 tires all around on my car? The reason I ask is that I am partial to Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 tires and they do not come in 295/35R19 for the backs.
Might be a dumb question but can I install 285/35s on both front and rear? (I also have the Handling Package on my Dark Horse) The reason I ask is that I'm partial to Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires and they do not come in a 295/35 size.
Thank you for all of the helpful comments. I've decided not to change the OPGs. My track days are over now so no need to swap out the half shafts either. I've had supercharged cars before and I just want the added torque and power for occasional "spirited" driving so I'm sure that the Horse...
I obtained an estimate for the installation of a Roush Phase 2 SC on my 2024 Dark Horse and they are strongly recommending that I also have them install billet oil pump gears in place of the stock cast iron ones. The additional parts and labor total over $1500. Is this really necessary??
I’ve had 9 Corvettes of many generations but I sold my C8 nine days after taking delivery. Visibility was brutal, I couldn’t get comfortable in the seat, the button row separating the passenger seat from the driver was a pain, water leaking into the engine compartment, and I missed a manual...
The newer Vettes (C7) recommended filling the tank to only 1/4 full to avoid contamination on the tank sending unit. For the C6 generation and earlier it was fine to fill the tank completely.
I'm a long-time Corvette owner who is new to the Mustang world. I picked up my 2024 Dark Horse yesterday and I was wondering:
1. What type of oil should I use? Corvettes are Mobil 1 fully synthetic advocates. Any suggestions?
2. I will be storing the car from mid-November to mid-March...
