Coming up on 43, here. I ordered premium, 700A, HP, AP, Blue Ember, Recaro with the Auto. Between all of the issues I'm seeing, delay in scheduling, and (sort of important) my resignation from my cushy job, I'm thinking of canceling and ordering an M2 instead.
It's not a matter of age on who...
The Shorkey car is identical to my build at Ford of Monroeville (now Cochran), with the exception of mine having Recaro. I'm in purgatory on my build, which was submitted 3/27. And at this point, things have changed in my life, and I'll wait until spring to decide instead of dealing with Shorkey.
I had my build set on 3/27 by 0930 ET (dealer opened at 0900). I drove four hours home and signed paperwork to get my build sheet by 1600 the same day. Dark Horse Premium, AP, HP, Blue Ember, 10A, Recaro. Nothing so far except "unscheduled - clean", and now it seems the HP will push me to not...

Looks like there's still quite a gap in the Ford/UAW negotiations. Two weeks to go!
I'm getting my "toy" DH to go alongside my "toy" Power Wagon. Would a RAM 1500 have done? Maybe. RAM 2500? Probably. But I wanted the PW with the different suspension, winch, etc. Plus... Power Wagon sounds cooler than 2500.
My biggest issue (other than actually getting a scheduled...
Actually, it's not a straight 2mph, and the actual speed would be HIGHER than indicated. It's a 2.6% taller tire, so actual versus indicated would be indicated * 1.026. At 60mph, It's 1.56mph, so not worth worrying about, imo. I'm running 35" instead of the 33" on my Power Wagon (stock 33"...
I'm seeing a lot of people saying that they plan window tint as the first "mod" for their Mustang. Here in PA, transmittance has to be 70% on all windows of passenger cars newer than 1998. I'm thinking I may play nice for some windows, but buck the rules for the rear. My thought is 30% on all...
I'm also in the boat of a DH Premium, AP/HP, 10A, Recaro. Still unscheduled - clean. Not worried about interest rates unless Ford offers some sort of rebate or deal or something by the time mine is ready for pickup. In that case, I may consider Ford financing to get the deal, then pay off...
How does that affect the airflow to the manifold, though? Going with a single throttle body defeats what they did on the front end of the manifold and I feel like it'll cause airflow issues having a huge intake hose going to what should be two throttle body intakes.
Interested to see how Whipple integrates with the twin throttle bodies. I'm an engineer, and it's hurting my head to try to come up with ways to make them both work. Throttle body ahead of the SC means a mess of hoses and then how to you interface with the intake manifold? Throttle body after...
Use Ford chat with the build info on the sheet you got from the dealer when you ordered it. It should have the info for chat to give you info on if the order was even accepted in the first place. If you don't have the build sheet, you probably put a deposit down on nothing. And ordering a...
I've got a 2019 PW on 35"s getting about 13mph. When driving to work, it was 100 miles/day. So twenty days per month, would be 2000 miles/month, at $3.50/gal. Looking at about $7k. I never understood folks who can milk $100 for a month when I was filing that up every couple days. That said...
Buddy in my hometown does a ton of really good custom work. I thought about getting the RTR "intake grills" and seeing if he could tweak them to match the Blue Ember or something. Check out Skeptik Innovations and infinity lights. I don't want to go that extreme, but that's his doing.
I'm interested in looking for immediate aftermarket wheels/tires so I can keep my Trofeo RS on stock wheels. I'm having a hard time finding specs on offset/backspacing, etc. that will fit the wheel well and caliper properly. Anyone have info?
I was actually debating making a post to see if anyone planned to dyno their car after break in. I ordered a DH with the 10-speed Auto, and I'm debating if I dyno or just wait until some aftermarket (looking at you, Whipple and Stteda) dyno a stock as a baseline. Anything in the 420-or-above...
What would be worse about a future markup on that particular vehicle is that you were able to select options at MSRP. A future buyer would then be paying, say, $10k extra but not be able to add/remove options and make it "their" car. Guess you could view it as the "tax" for being able to see...
