You are mixing things up here. The red button you are mentioning is to start the engine and turn it off. We are talking about the start/stop feature that tuens the engine of automatically while standing in front of a traffic light.

The only reason I'm glad my car has that feature is to fill in that blank button. I have a full option Mustang and would be irritated with 1 blank button.
