  1. 30mpg in a GT ! Who needs a Ecoboost ?

In my nearly 7,000lb truck, I do exactly as you described. I don’t get in a hurry, take off easy and brake way in advance of a stop, even when I’m not hauling anything. It’s a truck designed for hauling, not racing. Yet, on the Super Duty forums people are all the time talking about 0-60 times...
  2. Taking our 2024 Mustang Dark Horse to the Dragstrip & Track:

I 100% agree. I bought my GT because as a whole I like it the best. That is factoring in price, looks, performance, comfort, and reliability. If all I cared about was the 1/4 mile time, I'd have bought something different. If all I cared about was the fastest lap on the track, how cheap it...
  3. 2025 Mustang Build & Price Online Configurator Now Live

Just to see, I built my exact spec 2024 Mustang with the 2025 builder, and the MSRP is $66,400 versus the $61,270 MSRP of my 2024. That’s a $5,130 or 8.4% increase. Granted some of that increase was made on the 2024 models after my build, but that’s still a pretty big jump. Just the base MSRP is...
  4. About pick up !!

Here are some general recommendation from experience. 1. Ask if they can pull the car where you have plenty of room to back up and look at it from all sides with nothing in your way (i.e. not in a parking space next to other cars). It's usually easier to spot things outside with good...
  5. Steeda H-Pipe question (Those who have an H pipe or want an H pipe)

I agree. The Steeda H pipe sounds good and is relatively inexpensive; however, I love the AWE Switchpath I have been running for the last seven months.
  6. UPDATED: 5 Months Later - AWE SwitchPath Cat-Back Review (2024 Mustang GT)

I should add, I absolutely love the sound at idle and when really getting on the throttle, and that makes it worth putting up with a little drone.
  7. UPDATED: 5 Months Later - AWE SwitchPath Cat-Back Review (2024 Mustang GT)

There is very little drone above 1600rpm. I would say there is still some slight drone, but you almost have to be actively trying to hear it in order to notice.
  8. UPDATED: 5 Months Later - AWE SwitchPath Cat-Back Review (2024 Mustang GT)

Yes, I’m still running the AWE Switchpath. It is louder on cold starts, but not to a large degree. I would say quiet mode with the AWE is somewhere between quiet and normal with the stock system. Normal with AWE is again probably between normal and sport mode when stock. While it is a little...
  9. Steeda H-Pipe question (Those who have an H pipe or want an H pipe)

I had the Steeda H pipe on mine for about 3 months and really liked it. I've had the AWE Switchpath since December, so I went back to look at my previous comments about it since couldn't recall exactly what I thought of the volume difference. Here's what I said in that thread:
  10. Looking to buy a GT in 2025; hoping for advice

I had a 2019 PP without Magneride and my 2024 has Magneride. I would absolutely pay the extra for Magneride.
  11. 30mpg in a GT ! Who needs a Ecoboost ?

I get about 23.5 on the interstate and 18 with mixed driving. FWIW 4 mpg on the track. šŸ˜‚
  12. Non PP extra oil cooler

The PP doesn’t have a differential cooler. I plan to add one before the next track day.
  13. First Time On The Track - I’m Hooked

I think I may have made a mistake by going to an open track day for the first time yesterday; I’m hooked! I’ve never been in any car on a track previously, so it was somewhat intimidating at first, but after a few laps I fell in love with it. It was fun learning what the car was capable of and...
  14. Non PP extra oil cooler

It’s Dragy Lap. I didn’t even think about it until I got down there and someone said something about Dragy, and sure enough there was a track app. It worked pretty well. PP
  15. Non PP extra oil cooler

It was awesome! 100x more fun than the drag strip!
  16. Non PP extra oil cooler

I just got back with my car after running it at The FIRM in Starke, Florida. The car held up great in the morning. In the afternoon after 10 laps (15 minutes) I got a warning the axle temp was high and to reduce speed. After letting it cool down I went back out and made it another 5 laps before...
  17. Non PP extra oil cooler

I may go to the track (The FIRM) tomorrow if my daughter-in-law doesn’t go into labor. If I get down there, I’ll report back on what temps I’m seeing on the track.
  18. Non PP extra oil cooler

Highest I’ve seen my GT PP get was low 210’s after multiple passes on the drag strip when the ambient temperature was in the mid 90’s.
