Sorry for your situation. The fix that can be completed in 5-6 hours is the addition sealing to avoid possible water intrusion to the BCM. Since yours has the water intrusion in the BCM MY GUESS is that the delay is getting the replacement BCM. Yours is the first one that I’ve heard about...

In addition to the battery state they apparently have a timer that does this after two weeks of not being started — regardless of the battery. There shouldn’t be any little things. Was never an issue on my 22.

No, convertibles do not take longer, but some dealers are obvious SLOW or INCOMPETENT. My GT convertible was about the same as yours. Took about 7 hours. The technician that did mine was very good. She was doing quite a few, including ones at the dealer which were on hold.

Unfortunately not in the convertibles.

Mine was completed as scheduled. No sign of any leak before the new sealant added nor afterwards.

I would change the oil with full synthetic. Did mine at 1k miles and it wasn’t even for winter.

I forgot to include earlier that now that I’m in my 70’s I find that I need warmer temperatures — in the Mustang, in my Outback, at home, and wherever I go. So in my case it is ME that needs warmer temperatures!
