I do want to try the steeda X or H pipe. I can't decide which because I want both of the characteristics each offers. Maybe I'll get both and swap them every few weeks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I dunno about LTH, Not sure I could handle the car being even louder.
You got the LTH w/ the cats, Have you had any CEL...
Whats your ambient temp like? 24 Dorkhorse, when I turn the car on gear temp is usually 20c for the first few minutes. Backs out nicely from my driveway, then drives very predictably at slow speeds until I make it to a feeder road. No flaring, No delayed shifts
My only real complaint is whine...
Engine is ruined, all valves are bent, bearings spun, warranty will be denied. Enjoy your paperweight.
But seriously, after a couple heat cycles and so long as the oil is up to a reasonable temp, go hard. The majority of the break-in happens in the first few hundred miles and heat cycles...
The front end on my dork horse is mighty numb. Even in Sport/Track mode there is almost no feedback. Even my decade old luxobarge Audi with EPS has better feel. I haven't been on a track yet and I'm not sure I want to.
I changed tires and had an alignment (toe was way out) which corrected some...
What.
The only thing saving this engine at this point is the ECU dumping all the fuel its allowed to in an attempt to keep the engine from leaning out from all the additional airflow.
If I put a whipple on my car with a giant pulley and only made 1psi at peak, I could do that on a stock tune...
Okay,
Trying hard not to have this end up being a metric vs imperial flame war.
I'm in Canada. My cluster by default is all metric. My temps are all in Celsius and it lists my oil pressure in bar.
However Ford doesn't have a decimal place, so my hot oil at idle sits at 1 bar. 1 is...
Did you not get the active exhaust from factory? I really can't see how anyone would want a louder exhaust than the factory AVE, especially if you put it in track mode. Also it sounds fantastic.
"we built a 480 or 500 hp v8, but if you try to use that peak power, the engine will misfire and limit output"
Could be a bad tank of gas, Next time you fill up throw 91 or 93 in it, see if you can duplicate it.
In short: A factory engine misfiring on the stock tune under load is *not* normal...
I'm most interested in the delta after you get your headers installed, be sure to post a graph with the two runs overlaid.
What gear did they do the pull in
Exceptionally poor judgement if trying to appeal to a younger market segment. No ipad/equiv android tablet/mid-tier phone is gonna have UI lag like this. Hopefully it can be fixed in software. I have to wonder if Ford outsourced the development to the lowest bidder and will now pay 3x as much as...
I'm new to owning a mustang. I got the DH because of the stronger connecting rods from factory, and it had the 3 option packs I wanted as standard, and none of the dealers in town for the month or so I was shopping, had those options (B&O, Magneride, Active Exhaust)
I am less than happy with...
Quoting -
NHTSA began investigating the unconventional gearstick design on these cars, which was causing crashes because drivers were mistakenly shifting to neutral when they thought they were shifting to park.
With a regular gearstick, drivers choose a transmission option (park, reverse...
The cars in park. Also pretty sure the car will automatically engage the e-brake if I try to open the door with the engine running while it's in gear, to prevent the exact thing you're talking about.
Of course they don't. However I can still wag my finger at them in a public forum.
@Ford Motor Company
Why is it if the car is parked, still running after driving then I take my seat belt off, I can no longer change the displayed menu on the gauge cluster. All I can see is the alert that the drivers seatbelt is off.
However, if the dealership airs my tires up to 47 PSI...
