  1. Chief Engineer of S650 Mustang talks Coyote, EcoBoost, Dark Horse Upgrades

I'm guessing supply issues. Aluminum is getting a lot more expensive.
  2. Chief Engineer of S650 Mustang talks Coyote, EcoBoost, Dark Horse Upgrades

I saw where Ford released a spec sheet that was identical to the S550 cars and I don't expect that to be accurate. Just comparing GT/Mach1 to GT/DH the S650 has larger brakes and a lot more tech. Tech is never light. Also I believe the S650 has steel front fenders where the S550 has aluminum. I...
  3. Chief Engineer of S650 Mustang talks Coyote, EcoBoost, Dark Horse Upgrades

No of course I want Mustang to stay ICE. But I'm skeptical about upgrading from my 21 Mach1 for a Dark Horse until I see updated numbers. That's all I'm saying.
  4. Chief Engineer of S650 Mustang talks Coyote, EcoBoost, Dark Horse Upgrades

The Ford engineer guy probably just isn't comfortable speaking in public. I personally hate it. Lol
  5. Chief Engineer of S650 Mustang talks Coyote, EcoBoost, Dark Horse Upgrades

Until they release final horsepower specs and weight I'm skeptical about upgrading.
  6. 2024 Mustang (S650) Specs Sheet / Technical Data

I'm not sure that's true. I own a Camaro SS and it does not take mods as well as my Mustang does. Maybe it's only me but with 2 valves and one cam the 6.2L isn't great with mods in my experience.
  7. Dark Horse vs Mach 1 - faster, heavier?

Are Cup 2s better than Trofeos? I have never owned a set of Trofeos before. I also have doubts the S650 is the same weight as the S550. New interior tech isn't light.
  8. Dark Horse vs Mach 1 - faster, heavier?

Spec sheet looked identical to the S550 one. I too am curious to see what a GT PP can do.
  9. Dark Horse vs Mach 1 - faster, heavier?

What do guys think? Will the Dark Horse be significantly faster than the Mach 1? Or will it be heavier and the 20-30hp difference won't matter as much? The much larger rear brakes on the Dark Horse makes me think it will be significantly heavier.
  10. 2024 Mustang (S650) Specs Sheet / Technical Data

As far as I know they said "oil cooler". I hope it's the good one but I personally doubt it. They can be replaced easily enough though. My question is will the ECM truly be locked? That will make tunes and mods a lot more expensive. E-85 may not even an option in Gen 7.
  11. 2024 Mustang (S650) Specs Sheet / Technical Data

Pretty sure regular GT has an oil cooler now. (Engine coolant cooled) The Dark Horse should have the better air/oil cooler from the GT350/Mach1
