Follow up question, I have a convertible and realize that the ragtops already have additional bracing due to being a convertible. Would the Stop Hop Kit replace this bracing or add to it? Thanks in advance.

correct, does not redrust more as long as there is a good barrier between two dissimilar metal(alum/Galv steel) then it should be ok. Issues with quality of paint or the process and problems can and will happen. Sometimes unexposed brackets are not galvanized for this reason.
