Hello! Wondering where mine stands in terms of rarity. #616/1965, Wimbledon White, Carmine Red interior, red center caps and side stripe, MANUAL, active exhaust... every option except the Brembo Brake package. (It has "Brembo" on the caliper, but not the package). Got it Certified in January...
Understood and I appreciate your concern. Here is the info I've gathered for this system. As long as you are replacing a stock dual 4-ohm (D4) voice coil subwoofer with an aftermarket dual 4-ohm subwoofer (like the DD Audio SW10A-D4) and connecting it via factory plug-and-play harness adapters...
The stock subwoofer in the Ford Mustang S650 Bang & Olufsen (B&O) system is a dual 4-ohm voice coil (DVC)
If you are planning to swap out the factory speaker driver while still using the stock B&O amplifier, keep these pointers in mind:
Match the Impedance: Look for an aftermarket dual 4-ohm...
So... my last car was an Audi A4 s-line. I replaced the door speakers with JBL's and put in a 300w powered Rockford Fosgate sub with an LC2i line control. The stereo was AMAZING! Before that, Jeep Wrangler Sahara with the Alpine upgrade. Another awesome stereo. Fast forward to the B&olufsen in...
So... Woofersetc.com sent me the DD SW10A-D4 with the "Redline" dust cover even though it was advertised with the "DD" dust cover. Same exact speaker, just a cosmetic difference. I did contact them and they sent me a bunch of stickers and 2 license plate frames, which was very nice. So... here...
The difference is amazing!!! For about $200 all in for both speakers with connectors, foam tape, polyfill, sub harnes, 3M... I can't believe the difference! This is a mustang do for anyone with a S550 or S650 with B&O.
I just installed the Dayton Audio ps95-8 center channel speaker in my S650 Mustang GT, 60th Anniversary. Stock B&O center speaker is crap compared to the Dayton. Sad that that is the best Ford could do with their "premium" sound upgrade. For a $40 modification and the 1/2 hr install, I feel it...
If playing in surround setting, stick with an 8ohm center channel speaker if you are swapping that out. Dropping to 4ohm will potentially change the sound stage.
While both are good options, something to consider from my research. The center dash speaker is primarily responsible for anchoring the front soundstage and reproducing central audio cues like lead vocals and dialogue when processing surround-sound or 5.1-channel audio. It bridges the gap...
I agree 100%. My sound locates just out over the front hood, yes, like a concert. Set the stereo to center in the car and the d
Yesterday I installed the DD SW10A-D4 drop-in replacement subwoofer installed in my S650 Mustang GT with the factory B&O system, and the difference is absolutely night...
Just installed the DD Redline sw10A D4 and all I can say is... WOW!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Took about an hour. Perfect punch and really steps up the entire listening experience.
Seems like there are 2 good options. The Hifonics and the DD SW10A-D4. Hifonics is definitely a better price point at $49.00! DD is $109.00. Hifonics min RMS is 200w, DD is 100w.
Max RMS is damage point when pushed. RMS is recommended power needed. For the DD, 100w is in the recommended needed (100w-300w), so the stock B&O amp (100w) should be fine. The Pioneer will work, but based on my research, you will get about 1/3 of the volume compared to the DD, (RMS 300w for...
