I raced 18 years top amateur levels. I get the wing thing.
The reason I asked the question is that looking at the wingless s650 you can see the boundary layer uninterrupted. This also resulted in some lift at speed.
I can't see how that blade wouldn't affect it , this the question.
It's not the hood stop adjusters. Those are the front of the hood. It's the back of the hood that's fluttering up and down. And yes I adjusted them and yes it made no difference.
I always thought perhaps it was a low pressure thing caused by those hood vents but it's not according to the video...
The hood louvers got praise. But looking at the air exiting the hood... not creating drag or a low pressure area.
Then why does the hood flutter at speed?
I'm wondering if the vent itself is too small and there under hood pressure at speed.
I love the comparison. I wonder what effect the GT blade spoiler (if you can call it that) has on the reducing the lift (if any) vs the car with no spoiler.
I would love to see pictures of the kit installed with the front bumper cover off and the decorative trim in the engine compartment off.
I'd like to see how the rest of the system with respect to what's included and how it's plumbed - as a completed kit.

Launching at 5000rpms with a manual (that's what we're talking about here) will just light up the tires (stock tires here). So yes.. TQ below 5000rpms matters.
There are a few people here that run these cars (manual trans GT/DH) at the drag trip... I'm sure they could be very specific.
Looking at dyno charts.. the M2's peak TQ is at about 2700 rpms. The DH peak TQ is about about 5000rpms.
BMW has the OEM turbos spooling up pretty quickly to get the peak TQ so early.
Looks great, but I do wonder what it would look like painted to match!
Did you have no OEM spoiler? Wondering because of the holes for the OEM spoilers. And... how strong the tape is.... I have been looking at the same spoiler for a while, I just was unsure about the holes and the tape mount....
