Like all things made it can vary mine was was cranked up way to high. Haven had an issue since the windshield tec recalibrated it works as intended.

Mine was really twitchy at first and the hold feature freaked me out. It did adapt over time and is behaves much better, just turn down the sensitivity in settings.

there are decorative spacers that distribute the strain on the gurney flap. I bet he had them too tight. noting wrong with having options though. MIne came witha proper flap like the one shown and is solid.

The center holes and studs, bolts are different, the large one is slightly more forward on the s550 spoilers and trunk lids. The outer studs are the same on both generations.
