I received a reply from the dealer. Plenty allocations for the GT.

Thanks. I've made a note and will order when my GT comes in. The videos look good. I have seen the usual touch-up pens. Color is good, but surface repair not very good.

After reading several of these "Long Wait" stories, it looks like I may be in for a Long Wait as well. Dealer told me about 3 months.

The carbon fiber needs to be protected by "something"! Everything I have read about items for sale indicates the item is finished in "clear gloss". THAT is what is failing over time.

Instructions "picture" a strap wrench, but don't say to use it. Did the knob come with one and is it really needed to install?

Thanks! The only one I like is the CS Series. However, I'm not crazy about the engraving choices. I guess I'm too much of a traditionalist - Spherical knob, white preferred with traditional 6-speed engraving in black on white knob AKA Bullitt...

That was my next choice and I had the same observation. When the time comes, I'll have to contact them and ask.

I contacted them about fitment. They suggested the round, Bullitt style knob would not fit due to the reverse gear lockout. The other issue was that their knobs are not returnable.

I don't care for the stock shift knob. I am looking for a white, Bullitt style knob or perhaps a black one. None of the knobs I have seen have a metal (brass) threaded insert for screwing the knob onto the shift lever. Many seem to have plastic inserts. These may strip too easily. Suggestions?

I figured the Mustang assembly plant would be shutdown during the the weeks before Christmas and New Years, but I have also read that "some" plants will be shutdown for an additional week. Does anyone have any definitive information on this? Having ordered 12/6, I'm guessing this adds 2-3 weeks...
