Taking delivery of my ā25 GT 301A PP on Saturday.
My tire of choice has been the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season for its grip, ride quality, low noise and looooong tread life.
Anyone using these on the RDW Mustang platform? My previous cars were AWDā¦
OK. Apparently I have to be more...
No. Almost bought that one.
Had it all lined up- they gave me a hell of a deal, and literally on my way to pick it up we stopped to see a friend who is on the desk at another store for something completely unrelated.
Left with an even better deal šš¤¦
Man I felt bad- but what you gonna do?
Thanks for the insight everyone.
Funny thing happened along the way to the decisionā¦
I signed for my car yesterday. Went with a 301A manual w/ PP & Active Exhaust.
While there, I sat in a Dark Horse with the Recaros.
Literally the first Recaros that hurt my back. Every iteration Iāve ever...
Wow what a thread this has become.
Yes, thanks for all the insights.
I signed on mine last night - it will be here next Saturday, and is indeed a 301A w/ PP & Active Exhaust. Will be interesting to understand more about exactly how the exhaust works.
Basically the hotter the temps the hotter the air right at / above that piece is getting. Meaning - in theory - more heat is escaping and the engine is cooler because less heat is being trapped.
Wanna Really cool off those underhood tempsā¦
remove the factory exhaust manifolds and send them out...
I do have a question on the Favorites button.
Iām pretty sure it doesnāt work like Iām thinking- would be too much to ask of Ford⦠lolā¦
Ok- letās say I have the car set to track mode by default.
Now, I make the favorite button āquietā⦠once I hit the quiet button, can I hit that button a...
Oh yeah. I plan to :)
Remember, I had a 1LE SS, and about 3 highly modified V8 Camaros prior to that. I miss the V8's... Even had 6.4L Scat Packs (both a charger and challenger) when I was in the car business 15/16.
Long tube headers, tune, etc etc. Never had issues with any of them.
Miss...
Yeah - look at the torque curve. This was with just a tune and an intake on E30. No other mods. I'd had the car at that point for like 400 miles or something - the Dyno sheet even says "Temp Tags" haha...
This was before the bulk of the money I spent, and I never dyno'd it because I just NOW...
100%.
And that's all I was saying - turbos just have that fun feeling when they come on - and to my bride who, bless her heart, doesn't understand cars - and has probably never put the accelerator down 100% on any vehicle in her life - she doesn't understand exactly what's going on.
All she...
LOL Man some of you are really testy about her comments. I can do that with the WRX now... but I can just dump the clutch and launch - it's AWD.
I'm making the same HP in a 500 lb lighter vehicle.
I've put $10K into her to make her that fast...
I'm still buying the Mustang - because...
Wouldnāt it be easy just to add the quad tips?
no- donāt get me wrong- itās not a slow car⦠you just have to wind the mustang out to get the power.
Sheās just used to (as am I) being in 3nd gear at say 2500 rpm getting on an on ramp- and half throttle will push you back in your seat and take...
The cell phone apps are not as accurate.
you would never use a cell phone app, for instance, in home theater calibration.
the phone microphone is not sensitive enough.
Good enough for playing around but definitely not what you wanna use if youāre trying to get balls on accurat
even that...
I use something like this for my home theater equipment when calibrating- works reasonably wellā¦
only thing mine doesnāt have is an average setting which would make it easier to be accurate, so you might look for one that does averages...
Agree. And I love doing things like that so will be one of the first things I do.
I can do it again and repeat everything at say 5000 miles and see him it changes over time / break in etc
Yes you can, but I believe the remote rev option is only on Autos. Active Exhaust is available on both, but the auto rev with key fob I understand is Auto only.
