  1. 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC - Official Specs, Photos, Videos

Interesting thread for sure. I've been lucky enough to own a GT350, a Whippled GT500 and a "regular" GT500. All modded, some tracked. I've enjoyed every moment with them. I was never a big DH fan but the SC...do want! I look foward to seeing spring rates, bar diameters, knuckle differences, if...
  2. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

If you get the wing, CF wheels and carbon brakes, you can bet your bippy it'll be over 110k.
  3. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

Deliveries starting this summer? That's quick if it actually plays out that way.
  4. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

Well that's one way to get it done. Color me shocked that they pulled rotors from the GTD. That helps to keep prices in check for GTD owners, as well as a more reasonable cost for this car. Props to Ford for making them optional.
  5. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

Ford examined that at least twice now with the previous GT350/GT500 and abandoned it each time - a standard carbon rotor, that is. For one, in order to make it more viable, they'd need volume. As an option, the take rate would likely be very low. I've heard nothing on production numbers but...
  6. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

So yes, they are drilled when Ford went the other way a few years ago. Again, carbon rotors are way above pay grade here. Unless Ford developed some new technology that seriously lowered cost you won't see a carbon rotor on less than a GTD. And of course it is a logical spot to shed weight...
  7. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

I know all about the rotors. Do you see the holes here?
  8. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

I highly doubt the hood is CF or that the rotors are carbon. Cost is exorbitant.
  9. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

This is a very mildly updated GT500. Cup2 R? Needed the latest tire as this car HAS to outperform the GT500. I doubt the rotors are carbon, likely a two piece aluminum hat with a steel ring. With a CF wheel, what is likely a CF wing, this car has to be in the 120 to 125k range. I'd also guess...
  10. Supercharged Dark Horse Mustang SC will be revealed on 1/15! [Updated with first look]

Taped up paddles....she's a DCT. Can't tell if the rotors are another SHW variant or a traditional two piece. Cross drilled? Calipers from the previous GT500? Again, can't tell. They covered the seat and I suspect its the same seat, new skin, from the GT500/GTD. Still hoping for something...
  11. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Female driver. Car is likely a V6 auto with a litterbox in back.
  12. Great News for V8s and ICE Vehicles in General

This is a huge win for red blooded Americans and a loss for the group that tells you that a man can have a baby. Regulators, fire up the coal rollers. Looking forward to comparing 2027 MY emissions test submissions in comparison to 2026 and prior.
  13. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Had not seen it elsewhere. I suppose Ford would be happy to offer it as a choice, however counterproductive from a performance perspective, on the next MY GTD.
  14. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Link to said announcement? They do not, in so far as a continued progression of the most recent standards. This Administration put a halt on them for now.
  15. 🎥 First Listen of the Legend Engined 2026 Shelby GT500 Mustang Next-Gen Successor!

One car has an SHW rotor similar to the S550 GT350/GT500 and the other car is using a traditional performance style hat and rotor. Interesting. The cross drilling on the traditional rotor setup makes no sense. Looks pretty but makes no sense.
  16. First GT500 production body spotted

5.2 V8, and hybrid, and AWD...a 4600lb+ Mustang is just what everyone wants.
  17. Start/Stop failure

God bless Lee Zeldin. The Auto Stop/Start "feature" is going buh bye...
