This is probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. Is the part# for the Stage I and Stage II Whipple supercharger the same? I come up with M6066M8800 for both. Thanks.

I had a highly modified C5 Corvette several years ago that was very loud. I did the same thing. I had Prius drivers give me that look and then roll up their window when I was next to them at a stoplight. Yup, us old folks are easily amused. :like:

Exhaust to the door. We have an insulated garage door, so it really muffles the sound.

Actually, I warm it up in the garage for a couple of minutes with the door open. 😛 I leave for church around 6 a.m. on Sunday mornings and start it with the garage door closed until it idles down. It works well, but I do get drowsy. 😉

My car idles at over 1000 rpm's when I first start it. My exhaust is also very loud on start up. I usually wait until it idles down because the exhaust also quiets down and my neighbors don't get mad at me. 😁

Not the best option, but just a thought. You'd probably have to remove the axle back system in order to somehow remove the tips. The problem with powder coating is that there's usually some down time of your car involved. I've had a bunch of stuff powder coated over the years, but usually do it...

Have you considered having the tips powder coated? That would give the black tips you want and it's very durable.
