I went with a Vapor Blue GT with black accents. I think I prefer a body color decklid panel when the roof and spoiler are black. Cool tool!

Highly unlikely they would only do a 2-year run. It's already been reported the Mustang will go EV for MY28, so four years for the S650. I suspect the hybrid plans were part of an initial plan for an 8-year run. When that was shortened to four, it no longer made sense to invest in the hybrid...

Agree. I think the base grille and the Dark Horse grille look better than the GT.

I agree with this. I still don't like the big grille but the rear looks cool. I already disliked the tablet look in other cars, so it's disappointing to see it in a Mustang.

2005 was retro for sure, but I think the S550 was forward motion. I'd like to see more forward for the 650 without being a fake exotic look.

The statement about the cd6 platform puts the credibility of the article in question, but I find the idea of the S650 being a 4 year run instead of 8 intriguing. It seems logical an S650 that's merely a "refreshed" S550 wouldn't go for 8 years. It also makes sense Ford would feel like it needs...

In 2022 I suspect the majority of S550 owners prefer the styling to the S197. And to me, this front end looks boxier than the S550 in a family sedan or SUV sort of way rather than muscle car. I'm hopeful that seeing the lines of the whole car will change that impression, though.

That latest rendering of the nose doesn't look bad, but my brain keeps picturing the rest of the car as a sedan or SUV. Or a refreshed S197. :)

No question RWD struggles to put the power down from a dig on the unprepped surface. But the supercharged Mustang still loses to the BMW in roll races? It must have been putting out far less hp than what they said it was.

I hope the changes are more significant than this rendering suggests, though. Since Ford has apparently decided not to go with an all new platform, exterior styling is one way to still differentiate the S650 from the 550. If they're too close, I think S550 owners (including me) will be more...
