  1. GTD Replica Wheels - Factory Reproductions

I had the ECS 02 on my S550 and they gripped and handled very well. My new '26 did come with pzero summer tires. They weren't as bad as I expected, especially for handling, but it was easier to break loose pulling out from a parking lot onto a road with some throttle, etc. I don't do many hard...
  2. GTD Replica Wheels - Factory Reproductions

    You're a little late. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/gtd-replica-wheels-factory-reproductions.175256/post-3494524
  3. GTD Replica Wheels - Factory Reproductions

Thanks. I was a bit concerned since I couldn't find pics of them on a car before ordering, but I'm happy with them. I waited a few weeks to buy the tires, too. I ended up getting 19x10 on all four with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires. I think 19x11 would look better in back but I...
  4. GTD Replica Wheels - Factory Reproductions

Thanks to your post about these wheels, I ended up ordering a set of the dark gray with machined face. Did you get your black set mounted?
  5. Koni Special Active Shocks/Struts or Steeda Active Streets -- and why?

My recollection from discussions on the Mustang6g site is that the active dampers (Steeda or Koni) were good with stock springs when ride comfort is the top priority. Reviewers preferred the Steeda Pro Action, Ford Performance Track, and Bilstein B6 for handling.
  6. S550 vs S650

The BMR cradle lockout kit worked well to take some of the slop out of the rear on my S550, so I installed it on the new car as well. I have stock magneride on my '26 vs Bilstein B6 on my S550. The new car definitely has a more refined ride, so if it handles as well or better in spirited driving...
  7. S550 vs S650

The handling of the Mustang GT can definitely be improved with mods.
  8. Official Adriatic Blue Metallic Mustang S650 Thread

Thanks! I'm very happy with them. The Steeda springs ride very nicely, too. Hardly any difference from stock.
  9. S550 vs S650

Interesting. Most reviewers seem to think the SS1LE handles night and day better than both the S550 and S650, with the S550 and S650 being pretty close. The main thing I've noticed so far about the S650 vs my S550 is the quicker steering. Now that I've upgraded the wheels and tires and added...
  10. Official Adriatic Blue Metallic Mustang S650 Thread

Some pics with the new wheels and tires after installation of the Steeda magneride sport progressive springs. The drop seems consistent with the 0.8" described on Steeda's website. I think I'm pretty well done with mods for awhile, except I need a splitter.
  11. S550 vs S650

Having owned both the S550 and the S650, these arguments about the screens, etc. have gotten old. The biggest disappointment to me is Ford didn't introduce a new chassis and set the S650 further apart from the S550, especially when considering the price. Even so, I loved my S550s and love my...
  12. Whine/hum from rear.

When I had a whine from the rear in my S550 it turned out there were metal shavings in the diff fluid. But it sounds like you already had that checked.
  13. DH hits the sweet spot in my opinion

I initially reached that conclusion but then found I could get a lot more off MSRP with the GT, which tilted me back in that direction. Even so, if I wanted a manual or planned to track the car I would have gotten a DH.
  14. Do I need wheel spacers for my new rims?

I''ve never seen gray lug nuts but I'd go with these with factory wheels. Gorilla 61148FSBC Mustang Lug Nut Kit Factory-Style 15-26 https://share.google/Sw8cde41fBZoV8qOh I think they sell a version with a locking nut, too.
  15. S550 vs S650

Only issue I have with sign reading is when driving on expressways with speed limits of typically 60-70 mph it sometimes reads the signs on the service roads, which are 45 mph.
  16. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Alignment getting done after installing Steeda magneride lowering springs, camber plates, & subframe alignment dowels, and BMR cradle lockout kit.
  17. Do I need wheel spacers for my new rims?

Yes. 😄 Not really. I also wanted flush fitment without spacers, a bit wider wheels (especially in front), and a rotatable setup. So I went with 19x10 on all four.
  18. Do I need wheel spacers for my new rims?

I just sold the PP wheels from my car. Spacers would have made them look better but I didn't like cleaning them. :)
