  1. Forums. Different experiences in other countries

And yet the UK has had some terrific automotive shows. I visited London and surrounding tourist hot spots back in the early 90’s, which required using trains and buses for a large part. The streets in Europe as far as towns go are thin and do not allow what we consider a normal size car, if a...
  2. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

True, back in the day I carpeted my 71 two door Skylark front to back with multi toned green shag. Looked great back then, not so much now. šŸ¤·šŸ»
  3. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? šŸ™‹šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

Tried a product that’s a spray ceramic coating. Not expecting much, testing to find a finish that will reduce the dust from our road.
  4. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

Meanwhile: The Steeda Pro-flow intake. For me it’s just eye candy, regardless of function. Steeda upper tower support, I like and dislike. Carbon fiber hydro dipped mud guards, carbon fiber hood vent, carbon fiber PP spoiler, window tint, bullet valve stems caps, 9mm, 45’s for the license...
  5. One mod you love and wouldn't change. And one you kinda regret?

Spoiler came with studs and tape for attaching. I think it made a huge appearance improvement.
  6. Tire Recommendation for GT Convertible

IMHO, it depends on your driving expectations. What mileage do you do you plan on driving? Your expectation in service life. I’m a big Michelin fan, nothing wrong with Conti’s. DHP mentioned the sidewall on the Conti is stiff, which to me could affect the ride comfort. I had a person comment in...
  7. Ford & Toyota Are Betting the Farm on the SAME Desperate HAIL MARY

US companies got complacent and the economy allowed foreign companies to move in. To this day I still call GM good enough motors.
  8. Dark Horse SC in Richmond VA at Richmond Ford West $176,000 ($71k in options)

I understand what gas guzzler tax is. My statement is more astonishment that a tax at that price would be charged. My sticker has it listed, yet is listed as no charge. Kinda like dealer add on’s, the extra $1300 they want to add on for spraying scotch guard on the seats out of a $5 can. My...
  9. Ford & Toyota Are Betting the Farm on the SAME Desperate HAIL MARY

Rush was way ahead of the times. The link works…
  10. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

To the point: 93 octane, and corn fumes. Where I’m at 91 is it. My GT is a daily driver, tuning for 20 HP IMHO is worthless. I would rather have a nice looking good handling GT. Tortoise & the hare, it’s all about what you want from your vehicle. Nether is wrong.
  11. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

I looked into this very question when I first got my GT. Tuner told me that a tune wasn’t worth the dollars spent for a stock GT. To spend my dollars on bolt on’s and then come back. Right now I’m happy with the performance, I’m not looking to race it, although a track day would be fun. I built...
  12. How Ford Builds Ultra-Durable V8 Engines for Mustang and F-150

Nice write up, and yet there is a bottle neck. Racing vs Developers. Racing identifies what needs to improve, developers identify what can be changed in production to make it ā€œgood enough ā€œ. Propaganda is all around us, it’s just a question of what to believe. The Kool-aids fine kids.
  13. Cool Daily Random S650 Mustang Pics -- Post Yours! šŸ“ø

Sitting outside Elvira’s Cafe in TN, saw about 25 Mustangs driving by, mostly Gen 6. Various mods, looked like a fun drive.
  14. First oil change after break in

Crack an egg or use Liquid Glass to seal a radiator leak. Last long enough to sell a vehicle. Never understood ripping people off for a profit. Then again it seems to be a thing, sad.
  15. KN Filters for S650? Worth it over stock?

There are a few threads that address your question. With that, I’ve had my GT for about 10 weeks. I’ve had the stock filters, K&N, and Steeda with the Pro-flow intake. I prefer the look of the Steeda intake over the stock intake. Other than that there is very little felt difference. Save your...
  16. First oil change after break in

21st century and snake oil is still a thing. If there seems to be a gasp 😱 in the force, then questioning is the best remedy. Your old mechanic most likely grew up when engines were hand honed and tuned with pitch forks. šŸ¤”
  17. What are some good Radar Detectors out there? šŸ¤”

Instant ON, POP, and laser will always be around the bend, it seems, or just after passing someone who couldn't maintain a relevance to the speed limit. Your only hope is that the officer hits someone ahead of you or has an urgent need. I usually run at 5 over the limit until someone has a need...
