Enjoyed reading your thread. I too in my 60’s, pushing 68. I had some preferences from building on Ford’s build site, then the reality of what I really wanted slipped in. I’ve had my knee replaced, back fused, 9 feet+ surgeries and still have lower back issues. Most caused by...
Literally an email I just received from Ford. I can’t Fathom why they named it a FatHom-e. As stated earlier by a younger generation, us boomers wouldn’t get it.
In Ford jargon it should be called the Bronco sport4, Pinto AWD, Corsair Mach4, anything but Mustang. Leave the girl alone, what ever happened to being original? I know call it FX-Atmos 2, naaaay.
$10000 to one person is 1 cent to another. It really depends on what a person wants to drive and how they want to drive it. Could I buy a DH, sure, but it’s more car than I need or want. Now if I can modify my car and make it the way I want it to look and run for less dollars then why not save...
Couple suggestions that you’ve mostly likely checked.
Keep it in standard setup, not sport etc.
Tire pressure is correct.
Drive like granny.
Hard to believe your mods would create your results. Take it to your dealer and run a diagnostic.
Curious how your vehicle works out.

Good point 👍
What I’ve seen is when the rim/ bead area is bent, is cutting out the damaged area and then repairing. I know of a business that does wheel repair, it’s worth a shot.
About 5100 miles. Took it on a trip to Texas in June, many road issues. That’s my guess for the cause. Really surprised that a OEM wheel would be affected by a hit I should remember. I’m old, so there’s that.
Pin-plate balance is coned on the back side of the wheel with pins that mimic stud/nut...
The Ford dealership 18 year employee “his words” didn’t know what a pin-plate balance is. So I went to Costco because I know the crew, I use to manage the shop. From the factory every wheel was off by .50 ounce, which is why I felt the front end was off. Then the tech calls me over and shows me...
For my understanding... my non-PP with active exhaust is 14HP away from a DH, for at the time I purchased my GT at $20K less than a DH? And, with a tune I can achieve over DH HP? Granted, extended high output could have a negative effect. For $20K I can purchase a nice planted GT and have $ to...
Back in the day...I was doing program punch cards, learning Fortran and Cobol, that's the computer languages back then. Now there's AI, which can build a webpage in a matter of minutes. Fast forward 19 years: I was hired at Costco and within a couple of years became a tire center manager. All...
But are they?
Really depends on the driving experience.
Casual drive or a spirited power at the calling drive.
I have the A10 with 3.55 gears, driving 40 miles mostly highway & a little city, the car wants to level out at around 1800rpm at around 65mph. When I'm nice to the throttle, I get...
👍
That was my mental argument when I purchased my GT. 20HP difference should not be that hard to over come. All the extra parts I get if track days are a part of ownership, for me it’s a daily driver that gives a nice seat of the pant, with a throaty engine background. Appreciate the opinion.
