  1. Got my VIN and proposed production date

Yeah, that's the key, parts availability. My progress has been: Day 001 - Order confirmation email (April 30) Day 017 - VIN number received (May 16) Day 058 - Window sticker received (June 26) Day 100 - Blend date (August 7)
  2. Rant after driving a M2 and M3

M240i, it's a driver-centric car that strikes a good balance between comfort and performance.

I think it'd be worth getting an estimate from vinyl shops in your area, side stripes are inexpensive, and they can wrap the nose inlets without having to remove the front grille. That frees you up to buy any GT in the color you'd like, and gives you more options on wheels too.
  4. Rant after driving a M2 and M3

Workers want money. Shareholders want money. Mining and refining companies want money. Everyone wants money. So it goes. As long as the velocity of money remains high you can get away with passing on costs. Of course you can't squeeze blood from a turnip, so if you run out of customers with...
  5. 2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (7/18/24) for Production Weeks 9/2 - 9/23

Have we seen anyone with a VIN for the last week of August? It seems like FRAP has a bunch of Ecoboosts (mine included) scheduled for the week of August 5th. We're seeing new GTs scheduled for September 9th. Potentially they reopen August 5th, run until August 23rd, shutdown for a week or two...
  6. Rant after driving a M2 and M3

Ford Motor company handed their shareholders over $716 million as a special dividend in Q1 2024, you seem to have conveniently "forgotten" that in your cost calculations. Of course, no one thing alone makes a car expensive: blaming the workers, or the shareholders, alone is pure politics...
  7. HUD for 2024 Mustang

Eh, the problem there is not all HUDs are created equal. Airbus isn't getting the HUD for their A350 off Alibaba. Now Boeing, on the other hand... Fighter jets? The helmet-integrated HUD in the F-35 costs more than a Mustang GTD. They use micro-OLED displays, which themselves were an expensive...
  8. Rant after driving a M2 and M3

That's the reason people suspect a 4-door Mustang stablemate is coming. The audience that buys a $60k+ sports car just to use one or two track days a year isn't buying a base Mustang GT. Two doors is a lot different than two seats. A Mustang can pick friends up from the airport, it has the...

I'd personally go 400A with the trifecta (Performance Package, MagneRide, Active Valve Exhaust) for a GT vert build.
  10. 2025 Mustang Order Guide and Price List Released

I suspect it's more the reality that in 4 ~ 5 years the whole infotainment setup will have to be replaced with Sync 5 and whatever the new "must have" tech gimmick is: I'm calling it now: droids, like R2-D2 from Star Wars. The voice assistant will get a little dashboard robot that moves...
  11. 2024 Mustang Scheduling This Week (7/18/24) for Production Weeks 9/2 - 9/23

Ranges are 1-9 (escalated) and 10-19 (normal custom orders) Being built comes down to the factory. Your priority code means a regional manager is trying to make it happen for you.
  12. Rant after driving a M2 and M3

Agreed. My Ecoboost convertible is my budget 430i M-Sport. If Ford fell through on my order and I had to get a GT to option MagneRide, I would be cross-shopping the M440i and the S5. The Corvette looks cool, but it's a massive loss of practicality as far as a daily goes.
  13. Stubby Antenna

CravenSpeed's "The Stubby Antenna" is a staple in the Miata community for replacing the ridiculous RC-car antenna that comes stock.

Oh, absolutely, every car brand raised prices 10%+ with the 2025 MY, the more popular brands 20%+, so the competing cars have gotten pricier too. My niche build no longer exists, so I'd be looking at $64k+ GT Premium Convertible with MagneRide.

Once it gets added to Ford Accessories webpage, the parts department will be able to get it for you. Right now they don't have all the 2024+ parts up for order (just the old 2015 - 2023 spare kits).
  16. Uh oh, did I overlook Active Exhaust?

You're golden, it's impossible to order a DH without the "GT trifecta" (Performance Package, MagneRide, Active Valve Exhaust) of performance upgrades, since they're standard on the DH.

The 2019 - 2024 Ecoboosts (with Performance Package and MagneRide) were Ford's "M-Sport with Dynamic Handling" variant. I'm sad to see them go.
  18. 2025 Mustang Order Guide and Price List Released

Especially for the Ecoboost. The 100A with a Performance Package was $37k in 2024 and an easy recommendation for someone looking for a sub-$40k sports car. Now, even the Premium EB can't option the 3.55 Torsen or Brembos.

I'd love to see Dynasty Green metallic or another green retro color get a comeback.
