Just a couple thoughts:
Ford is pretty particular about the requirements of the X-Plan.
Generally the names on the loan and the title need to match. Just anyone who tried to get their name off of a financed vehicle after a divorce.
Do you expect to visit the DMV often? After the initial...
A recent update to the order guide shows it will be "available" later.
My guess, chips/parts/etc are in limited supply and it will be a mandatory option once supply is up. If they have it Ford gets to account for the fuel savings in their EPA/CAFE numbers. love it or hate it, no way they are...
Ford recently expanded the dealers priority numbers. It used to be 10-19 for retail orders, now the can use 3-19. I believe 1-2 are still reserved for Ford management and manual scheduling.
The dealer assigned priority (3-19) primarily only applies to orders from that dealer. If two identical...
I was scheduled to the week of June 5th.
I have been āin productionā since June 13th. Chat confirmed that it was listed as produced on the 13th.
When my ālast updateā date went to 7/26, chat confirmed that it was received at the shipping ramp.
I donāt know if your car would be shipped by rail or truck. Once youāre scheduled your window sticker will indicate convoy (truck) or rail. Rail takes a little longer usually.
Both of your questions are true. Your order is āin the systemā once you have an email confirmation. As soon as your dealer has an allocation available your car will be eligible for scheduling.
Any car/truck/suv a Ford dealer orders needs to have an allocation before itās eligible for...
I understand your frustration. I have been waiting since day one and my car has been complete for 2 months. It sucks that your dealer messed up on the initial order. Really, for all the supply logistics that go into it, forecasting an entire assembly line out 6-8 weeks seems reasonable to me...
Now that 24s are supposed to be shipping. I would not expect your car to sit at the factory very long after itās completed. At that point it just depends on how far from Flat Rock MI you live.
It means that if your car is not already scheduled, the next possible/available production weeks are in October. Ford typical schedules builds out 6-8 weeks in advance. Cars built today were likely scheduled for production in early/mid June.
So if you have a confirmed order, your dealer has...
In my case, I like a few of the appearance/styling bits but would never track the car and donāt need any of the actual mechanical upgrades. I figure its and easy way to save $15k. š
