Got some new Carbonized Gray PP wheels today. Take offs courtesy of Shelby American from their GT conversations. Resisting the temptation to just throw them on. But im going to have them ceramic coated first.
This is with android auto connected amd Waze running. You still have your audio menu on the side of the screen. You can toggle that screen to show different systems.
The sources are there and they still work. I use android auto all the time and listen to Sirius and local radio. Use the arrows on the wheel to change stations. It tells you what you are listening to on the dash. You can also just tap the home screen at anytime to go back to the factory screen...
The electronics are all the same between cars. You can switch back and forth between maps and music with the other systems too. In fact you can have both up at the same time. You may want to give it a try.
Different strokes for different folks. Waze has day/night also. Thats the nice thing about Android auto and Apple car play. You can you whatever you like.
I don't mean to scare you off from lowering. Plenty of people do with no issues. Unfortunately I had nothing but problems from a bad initial install. Camber plates installed incorrectly. Had to have everything re-done. Then had squeaking issues that never went away (probably from damaged camber...
Waze is a popular navigation app on your phone that you use with Android auto or Apple car play. Many people prefer it to standard navigation.
Sorry you don't like the dark screen background. I think it blends better with the rest of the console and is easier on the eyes personally. My guess...
No, you will not need new shocks or struts.
Word of advice though. Find a good and reputable shop to do the work if you aren't doing it yourself. Many people don't install them correctly and you'll end up having noise or possible strut issues. The issue is "clocking" or orientation of the...
I purchased a set on ebay and they're arriving tomorrow.
Does anyone know if the computer will read the TPS in the new wheels or will I need to have them synced?
Ah ok. You had me thinking it was a screen brightness issue, sorry.
I believe the dark background is the only setting on the factory navigation. You can use waze if you want a white background. 👍🏻
Ok, so help me understand exactly what you are saying. Is it the main screen in general too dim, or are you refering to just your navigation background?
I would occasionally get that chime on my S550. I think it was tied to a low voltage condition at start up. Not saying that's what's going on with yours, but it might be worth looking at.
Have you made any modifications to your sound system?
I just tested mine several times, and can confirm the heart beat sound comes on every time you push start button. It does not matter if the e-brake is on, or if I use remote start or not.
I do have to wonder if it's tied to the B&O sound system or its settings since I always get the B&O logo...
A bad cord will give you intermittent connection issues.
Had it happen on my '23 where it the connection would only work randomly or only partially connect to certain functions. Someone said it happens when you use non Samsung cords. So I swapped out the cord, and sure enough everything worked...
I'll bet it was the cord. A lot of aftermarket cords have connectivity issues, especially for music. Try unplugging and see if the sound system goes back to normal.
Do you have Android auto or Apple play?
