All I can suggest is when removing the stock spoiler, take your time with that 3M tape!! I rushed it with trimmer line and damaged the paint a bit from the abrasion, even though I protected the paint with masking tape.
Also-if prying up the old spoiler, be gentleā¦I pulled up too hard and broke...
From my experience with the Lincoln, these electronic systems go through growing pains. Tend to get buggy in the beginning, then they settle down. Sometimes software updates fix the issue, or maybe just adaptive learning and battery management sorts it all out.
Iām still getting the feel of my auto trans. In Normal mode, it just lugs to the next gear (Iām still trying to be gentle in break-in), though itās a little more responsive with the exhaust set to Track.
Now approaching 600 miles on the OD, Iām exploring Sport Mode on the trans. Itās a bit...
I Agree 100% with AZ Ryan. Taking it to the dealer will just be a waste of your time. These sync/ infotainment system glitches are more common than you think across many vehicles.
+1 on ātake the winā
Agreed! š Apologies to OP.
RE: vents in general. Has it been stated yet what the purpose of the vent is? I assume itās to relieve underhood pressure more than heat?
The S197 had a bad habit of building up a lot of underhood pressure at speed. Not such a problem for street driving, but if...
Yeah good point. Probably a compression issue. Most of the music in my phone I painstakingly ripped from CDās and converted myself. I had stacks of CDās and it literally took a week. I should try to re-burn the worst sounding ones at much lower compression and see if thereās improvement...
OK, I can accept that argument. But as far as ānew to the hobbyā, my first Mustang was over 40 years ago, and I owned an 06 Mustang GT since 2007ā¦just trading it in for this 2025.
Now 40 years ago, what did we have for sources of information? Booksā¦maybe lucky to come across a magazine...
My wifeās Lincoln nautilus did the same thing. Infotainment system reboot fixed it. I think JAM486HP listed the correct reboot sequence for the Mustang.
Takes 10 seconds and will probably fix it. Hard to believe your dealer service dept. didnāt try it.
Heyā¦more fun facts. š¤
A pony car is a class of American automobiles characterized by their affordable price, compact size, and sporty design. The term originated in the 1960s, with the Ford Mustang being the archetypal example that helped establish this category. Pony cars typically feature...
So OK, letās assume every fact we are trying to learn is 95% speculation with error margin. The inspiration is either horse or plane, but since the plane was named after the horse, the whole argument could be called a moot point.
I read somewhere that the horse was chosen because Ford didnāt...
For the record, 41 ft. lbs of torque was specified on the instruction sheet provided by Ford on their own Ford Performance tower brace. But it also came with 4 new nuts which the instructions were very specific about using.
But based on what Iāve been reading here, yeah, if I had to remove the...
CJPony parts (among about 100 other websites) all state the Mustang was named after the plane, but the pony emblem made the name more accessible.
I have no skin in the game, so I was ready to accept whatever was presented to me. Most everything pointed to the plane as inspiration for the name...
There are idiots in every stateā¦.lol. Yeah some more than others.
I find the time of day is a big factor. If I run errands, heading out about 2:00 is the sweet spot. Lunch traffic is over, but still about 2.5 hours before Evening Rush Hour. Traffic is light.
I try not to run up the road...
I just eyeballed it. I can go out later and measure If you need. I just reminded myself itās just a trunk and not to worry too muchā¦lol. It was a lot easier to put the grill on while the enclosure was out of the car.
I noticed from my music catalog playing Bluetooth off my phone, the...
