Eh, I just run the 5W-30. If your engine oil is getting too hot, though, the 5W-50 can trick the computer into thinking the oil is cooler than it is, so you can push a little longer and hotter without the car going into limp mode. I have not driven fast enough on track to cause that issue, though.
