I've been trying to get info about any related TSB for output shaft or P/N to no avail. Anybody have a possible TSB or P/N? As we all know, going to a dealer unarmed can be frustrating.
On my 19 GT there was underhood air that could get inside air intake between grill and airbox. DH looks like that can't happen. Some used to wrap intake tube from filter to throttle body with insulatuon tape to keep down temps. Again DH appears to be.much better. Would be nice to know at...
So the DH seems to have a pretty good air intake system. IATs normally only a couple degrees from ambient, even in summer. Problem I've seen is in slow moving traffic or a parade i was in, the IATs kept going up, sometimes almost 50 deg delta. Once driving they immediately went down. Not sure...
I had the Ford Racing Tune in my 19 GT. See dyno runs below. I still believe that Ford or anybody tunes specifically for 93 octane that it would be more, albeit maybe not much, than stock tune with 93 octane. What i look for is the torque increases below 4K rpm for spirited daily driving.
The dyno charts were helpful, but I would like to have seen a 91 octane as well. I still feel that a tune specifically for higher octane would yield more. Is it true that Ford quotes HP/Q at 93 octane?
Thanks! I put side scoops on all my newer Mustangs. These are flat black, but they first sent me a gloss black pair by mistake. Would be willing to sell. These came from American Muscle, but Air Design makes them. And supposedly this is who made prior Ford offered scoops.
I am surprised ! Nice to see some facts. I would have bet that 93 octane would not have made that much of a difference with a stock tune. I still believe that the tuners will be able to get more when they tune specifically for 93. When I switched to Ford Racing Tune on 19 GT, min went to 91...
So the owners manual says 87 octsne min, but use 91 for hot weather or towing. Would guess this is for detonation protection and not upgrading performance. All Ford Racing tunes i have used call out 91 octane min. I understand Coyote has a robust engine management system, but it sounds like...
Had a new Ford TPMS sensor installed on wheel by dealer. Not sure what he did, but he did say to bring car back in to sync. After I installed back on 24 DH, the car recognized it. Initially pressure high, but after a couple miles it read correctly. Did not have to go bsck to dealer. Have not...
