How is that a bad thing? Not only is the mach-e a cool and attractive looking design. But as I've said before, the mach-e was clearly inspired by the traditional mustang coupe. With things like the trapezoidal grill and tri-bar lights. So if you're upset about them using mach-e cues on a...
Now we just need to get the rest of the gang together to solve the mystery of why Ford keeps wasting time and money on heritage editions rather than trying to move their vehicles into the future. Seriously, I hate this let's keep reliving the "glory days" bullshit.
Idk, the tri-bar lights are an evolution of the s550 front tri-bar LEDS. Which were in turn inspired by the metal stampings of the original mustang. So I don't think they're ripping off Kia and BMW with those design elements. The lower intakes look badass imo, and appear to be heavily influenced...
I don't hate it, it looks like they pulled inspiration from the focus RS grille, which isn't a bad thing. I've heard people say the grille opening is too big, but it doesn't look any bigger than the s550. There's just a contrasting black panel, like the current gt500. Which isn't a bad thing, as...
We can agree to disagree man. In terms of design comparisons, everything has been done. It's like books or films. So many of them have been created that it's virtually impossible to create one that bears zero resemblance to another. With that in mind, I think having your front end look like...
Holy crap, excellent job man. You can really see what some insiders have been saying. A lot of the changes are subtle, but it really cleans up and improves the design imo.
I can't tell if that's a scoop or a vent. It's so flush with the hood. Looks more like a vent to me. Virtually every scoop I've seen has a more prominent raised look to it. The subtle nature of this makes me think it's a vent.
Well, once more, based on what we've heard, it sounds like the rest of the design is more unique. It's just the front end that looks somewhat similar, which isn't a bad thing. It's not like the 6th gen Camaro which looked virtually identical to the 5th gen.
Can't wait to see what you come up with man. personally, as the side and rear are still unknown variables, I'd use the Chinese sculpture as inspiration for the general profile/ roofline and side surfacing. I think Jem also created a sketch that kinda shows what the rear/side looks like if you...
I can see why people don't like using the mustang name, it's certainly polarizing. That being said, I would only hate the mach-e if it replaced the normal coupe. I kinda dig the idea of doing mustang oriented performance cars outside of the coupe as long as the coupe remains. It kinda reminds me...
Can't wait to see the design, it has to be quite remarkable. It's been called everything from poster car worthy to gorgeous and stunning. Really hope it delivers.
I'm of the exact opposite mentality, with the coupe, mach-e and other variants and expansions of the mustang brand almost certainly being in development, I think the mustang brand is getting more attention than ever. Also, on the topic of hybrid's, one of ford's engineers put in their LinkedIn...
Well let's hold off on making final judgements until the car is released. It's looking like a hybrid mustang is coming, hell, ford themselves have said it's coming in public announcements several years ago, and there are engineers who listed in their linked in profiles that they helped develop...
