  1. Family Squabble

Cars have always looked similar this is nothing new. Just look at any 90s sedan, or mid 2000s compact, or 2010s crossovers. Hell one of the big complaints is that the s650 rear half looks like a last gen camaro, which looks like a S197 mustang, which looks like a modern 60s mustang. You know...
  2. What size wheels to run and squared or staggered?

The simple answer seems to be: staggered 20x10/20x11 running 275 front and 305 rear. The real answer is it depends.
  3. 5k rpm rev limiter

yeah, manual needs to be able to rev beyond 5k for when they mistake 1st gear for 3rd gear, auto will gladly let you take it to redline when flooring it, but normal revving limits to 5k, probably for some safety reason or something idk, personally i like the fuel cutoff, makes the car pop at 5k.
  4. 5k rpm rev limiter

if youre revving at a stand still the car has an automatic cutoff at 5k
  5. Anyone install RTR upper grille?

do note, most the people on this board dont have the RTR stuff, or do have it but not installed it. the post is referring to the people complaining that have installed their stuff, from their last post it seems to me like the person running the social media pages is NOT the person in customer...
  6. Anyone install RTR upper grille?

the issue isnt that, its that people come into here and complain about their part but dont actually reach out through proper channels then get pissed when nothing happens. BTW for people on the fence:
  7. Family Squabble

its the same shit that happened between the S550 and the S197, people hate change at first and see every issue with a new thing as a reason to point and go "see i told you this is a horrible change" (remember going to IRS?). itll pass in a year or two and everyone will collectively move on like...

  10. RTR chin splitter....

how do you like the fit of those wheels? im looking to swap out around springtime for something similar. However the more im looking the more i kind of want to get a set of fender flares to better line up the edges of the splitter and rockers so i might try and beef up a bit in the front wheels...
  11. New to this with a few questions

Don't stress to much about the warranty, most parts come with their own warranties if they fail, the car itself having a part won't void the warranty. It's on the manufacturer to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that damage was caused by the part, otherwise they have to honor the warranty.
  12. Mach-1/Dark Horse Front Wheel Lip Mold Fender Flares

  13. Mach-1/Dark Horse Front Wheel Lip Mold Fender Flares

if money isnt an issue and youre impatient theres a company with carbon fiber wheel flares listed as shipping in the next few months for $650 https://nytop.store/ford-mustang-accessories-store/p/2024-current-ford-mustang-carbon-fiber-front-fender-flares no exact ship date though
  14. Dark Horse vs Shelby

Easiest way to go about it would be to bring back the Cobra name. Ford gets the iconic cobra badge and doesn't have to pay Shelby for the gt500 name.
  15. Resources to learn more about cars

You could watch Donut Media on YouTube, specifically their "science garage" stuff for car knowhow or their "moneypit" stuff for maintenance/general modification tips. I would also recommend engineering explained for the more nerdy stuff. If you just want some cool stuff about cars there's a...
  16. Spotted Mustang GTD at Daytona! Photos & Impressions

It's a transaxle paddle shifted gearbox. Only thing we would need is a rotary switch, and thats only if regulation demands it.
  17. Dark Horse vs Shelby

TFW Lexus has a luxury sports car starting at the same price as a DHHP.
  18. Spotted Mustang GTD at Daytona! Photos & Impressions

Probably not in any major way, the GTD wing is already very different from the GT3 due to not having to follow the regulations on areodynamis. For instance the GTD wind has active aero for its wing while the GT3 is a static component.
  19. Aftermarket Spoiler Availability?

Unfortunately it's looking like the FP800 wing is still up in the air rn as well
