  1. Horsepower wars and "how much is too much"?

"how much is too much" depends on the tire. how much is enough? depends really, couple hundred, you dont really need any more than that on a regular basis. most cars only need enough horsepower to go the speed limit. Torque matters more for them so they can get their slow asses clear of the...
  2. Those DH owners with Ford Performance SC Weigh in

speaking from experience having daily driven the FP supercharger for over a year now, the cats are fine. trundling around town, pushing it onto a highway on ramp, or flooring it on a back road to turn rubber into smoke, never had an issue with the cats. that said, i do agree if you do go stage...
  3. YouTube content creators

the niche for strictly mustang stuff on youtube is admittedly small. all the "build" channels buy supercars so they can rip them apart to slap turbos to them or trick out old shit boxes. The modern Mustangs just too figured out to make good content beyond shelby/race car hype. Hell some of the...
  4. Forums. Different experiences in other countries

it makes sense though, Trucks already have horrible lines of sight, increasing tire/wheel size and throwing lifts on only damage that visibility even more. its crazy how many non lifted trucks i pull up next to at a stop light and i can fit my entire mustang between them and the actual stop...
  5. Forums. Different experiences in other countries

the American car scene is unlike most others, even Australia's held back compared to what we can do with our cars, similarly Europeans are even more restricted in what they can do to their cars so theres not many people willing or able to care for their stuff. I have a buddy in Australia i play...

  7. President Trump signed Executive Order for Right to Fix

this is aimed more at the small town independent mechanic shops, it really helps the enthusiast market, obviously, but also helps the common man from only having the stealership as a repair option.
  8. Ford Quality: from Nightmare to Dream Come True

going on the third summer in Oklahoma with summer highs routinely hitting 100-105, no notable impact on the screens over that time, im moving this year so wont know what longer term would do.
  9. Very interesting, Google Gemini gives the Dark Horse SC a name.

Its an algorithmic guessing machine, it has no more info than we do here (unless fords internal networks cybersecurity is just that garbage). Chances are it picked up the terms Super and Cobra from this website and reddit in all the forum posts with people guessing what the car was going to be...
  10. New Release: S650 Dark Horse SC-Style Front Bumper Kit for 2024+ Mustang

Maybe, maybe not. the bumpers a straight 3d scan from the DHSC which DOES have those vents open, but also has radiators in those vents. On the 5.0s that would do almost nothing. However theyve already made modifications to this one VS the real one so the grilles being open may be intentional...
  11. Quiet start

must be a software update my car doesnt have then, every time i quiet start the car cold it pops to track mode during the initial surge before closing the valve afterwards.
  12. Quiet start

    1. it was a joke due to your glaring mistake, calm down. 2. the second post is correct, if you remote start the car, quiet mode will not activate until you actually press the button 3. if youre cold starting the car, quiet mode will not engage until the initial engine start surge is done and...

  15. Correct forum for ‘26 810hp Shelby Cobra ?

they only real difference between the cars is the Shelby branded parts. the supercharger, tires, etc. can all be had aftermarket.
  16. Correct forum for ‘26 810hp Shelby Cobra ?

because Shelbys logo is a snake. Shelby doesnt sell a cobra, havent since the original Shelby Cobra in the 60's, if youre looking at 810hp then its a "GT350". but that's all semantics, end of the day theyre all supercharged Mustang GTs so yes, this would be the best forum for you.
  17. Car and Driver isn't a fan of the RTR Mustang

not sure what the aussie aftermarket looks like, but 90% of what you get in an RTR can easily be added on later for cheaper, the other 10% is the RTR badge and Vaughns signature
  18. Why does every aftermarket wheel suck on the S650?

when it comes to price its all tradeoffs: cast wheels: cheapest by far, but heaviest by far. this is what ford and most every OEM use for all of their wheels Flow Formed/Rotary Forged wheels: middle ground on price, a good set will set you back a couple grand, overall lighter than cast wheels...

This was the update, safety update for backup cameras
  20. Think twice about tracking your Whipple

Yes, generally the least heat efficient is a roots blower, centris are a bit better, and turbos are best when it comes to heat. ECUs been cracked since late last year.
