  1. Does anyone else have a creaking noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car?

First off, I’ll be taking her in to the local dealership and requesting a tech ride with me to validate the concern. This will be practically impossible to track down. I tested Friday, and for me it’s more than just one side, I think it’s not internal, and sounds almost clunky but not as...
  2. After 548 Days…

  3. Must decide today-2024 premium

Give the new ride a thorough going over before you leave. And remember: it’s a prius until you prove otherwise with pics ;-)
  4. Spare Tire Options

Thank you for that link !
  5. What should dealer install before picking up Dark Horse Premium 700a w/ Handling Pack?

front fender flares and the Dark Horse also comes with a spoiler Gurney flap. They should install the former, the latter should be in the trunk with your tow hooks. I did not put the strakes on, no way they survive local roads here...
  6. 2024 GT potential buyer having hesitations

If you want to see a true eco mode subbed for a normal mode, drive an untuned ’17-’20 Raptor. You wouldn’t know it from how it drives in normal, but they will do 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds and a low 14 1/4 mile, 35’s be damned. I’m good with the Dark Horse normal mode. Aside from the...
  7. 2 Cracked Windshields in 6 months of ownership!

Big assumption of facts there as it relates to @UNSAFE
  8. Center Screen CarPlay issue with Google maps. Anyone else with CarPlay issues?

I figure as a recovering NoVA resident I should offer this first before anyone suggests ā€œjust use something else" NoVA traffic is bad. If you live in Texas and think Houston traffic is bad, try living in the DC suburbs. I give it no more than 3 months before you flee in terror. It spans in...
  9. Does Ford pass over scheduling 300A builds to prioritize higher profit "premium" builds?

#MeToo. I also used Auto Trader listings, which have a 200 mile max radius from the search zip code and... the pricing data was a bit more accurate.
  10. Does Ford pass over scheduling 300A builds to prioritize higher profit "premium" builds?

I don’t think it’s as simple as all that, but my 7 year old Raptor buying experience strongly suggests that they process Leno & influencer orders FIRST, Press pool vehicles, second, Stealership allocation orders 3rd, custom orders 4th. I’ve seen the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Raptor releases roll out...
  11. First 2024 Shelby Super Snake delivered

I get it, I wasn’t making a price equivalency, but rather that the HD is overpriced period, not just overpriced for what you get. I mean, it takes a lot to make a motorcycle with over 1000cc’s to go slower than 4.5 seconds to 60mph, but HD manages to do it- Vrod and Pan America excepted. Lots...
  12. First 2024 Shelby Super Snake delivered

Except the Shelby is quicker and faster than any HD.
  13. Does anyone else have a creaking noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car?

Any updates on the creaking noise? I’ve noticed this on my Dark Horse. Low speed over uneven pavement. Not rough / 4x4 territory, just imperfect. happens: passenger or no passenger. not when cold apparently, first mile was silent each time across all drive modes seems to be passenger side...
  14. Day 1 - love the car but a few things that could've made it better

Because it’s not a Lincoln. it froze during the drive? weird. I’ve had it spontaneously reboot when I hung up a phone call. The Sync system is not tolerant of you issuing commands before full start up. I forgot this last weekend in my Raptor, had pre-started remotely got in, hit start and...
  15. 2024 CV boot puked all its grease

GT & Shelby means you are responsible for #TwoLessprius ;-)
  16. Reverse brake assist warning

driver assist was the x-traffic. gotta check on the t/c delete/reenable but I think it’s the same
  17. 2024 CV boot puked all its grease

damn. sorry to see that. Get the stealership appointment now, it will be a bit until you get in. The good news is it’s not a terribly hard repair, just a little time consuming. At least they don’t have to run down a network problem.
  18. Who do you trust changing tires?

I have a bike with carbon fiber wheels. They come with plastic guards - delrin I think, to place against the bead breaker and prevent marring the c/f. That said, it’s a challenge finding someone who’s confident they won’t f* up your wheel. I ask straight away, ā€˜can you change the tire on my...
  19. Gauge screen died

I’d have the battery load tested and a Battery Management system (BMS) reset done. That’s oddball behavior. The battery, not you.
