Explains how the car isn't any faster than the previous and no real upgrades?
The 2018 was a big improvement over the 15-17. That didn't happen with the S650. What car someone owns or doesn't own doesn't change the facts.
If you just want to build a drag car and don't mind having an aftermarket engine and transmission and supercharger, the GT is pretty tough to beat, always has been
My money is on the DH SC on the highway. Not to mention you can actually mod that thing compared to the Corvette. Spend a couple thousand on mods for both cars and the GSX will get a bus length put on it.
Nobody's hating. Just the facts
Performance numbers are the same. Basically the same engine. Same transmissions. Front and rear ends got refreshed.
They added stuff like screens but they're just making a car that's already pricing itself out of its target market even more expensive.
It's not...
Again, my exact point. There were big changes and improvements between those other two. Entire platform changed. Not just a second throttle body and screens.
2018 was a noticeable improvement over the previous year in terms of engine and transmission. 2024? Meh.
Dark horse doesn't go any faster around the track. And the pistons aren't forged...again no big help. The crank was already forged and the S550 rods (boss 302 rods) aren't exactly weak.
The other problem is:
The S650 wasn't really any better than the S550
The Dark Horse wasn't really any better than the Mach 1
The DH SC isn't really any better than the GT500
It's just a new name and slightly newer look. Same underneath.
New should be BETTER. GM just threw a bigger engine in...
You don't need to stick with OEM filters/oil.
Also wtf is oil conditioner?
Dealerships and other shops LOVE pushing
If you're only doing 3,000 miles a year I'd change the oil every other year....
