@georgeMc ..... there are many, many reasons to use minimum RON 91 but 93 is even better. A major one (mentioned) is the compression ratio. Another is the plasma coated cylinder walls, pistons, fuel rails and reduced combustion chamber temperatures. Only in an emergency would I use below 91...
@135Hoser ..... Canada eh? So you own a 2024 dork horse. That might explain your problem  Admittedly, I have only driven a dark horse one time. It certainly outhandled any Audi I have ever driven. As for it's overall handling I would characterize the DH (unless damaged) as superb. Wild...
@qwk93ta ..... asked because my friend's lift came with instructions that recommended bolting it to the floor. Like me he's a "bit" ocd, so asked his insurance buddy who said no bolts no insurance. Buddy showed him a lift fail that wrote-off the car on the lift ('vette) due to twisted frame...
@jboogie1289 ..... at the dealer - my new 2024 Vapor Blue GT 'vert is in the foreground, ready for me to drive away. In the background is the 2024 Oxford White GT 'vert just purchased the day before by a guy and waiting for final detailing - he won the strut tower "badge lottery" - he got the...
@jimbo67 yes, the dealer said some of the 2024s arrived with strut tower badges some didn't. A tech told me he was told if they ran out of strut tower badges on the assembly line that was the way it went out. I noticed that at the dealership a 2024 Mustang (identical model to mine) except in...
@Sf22giants .... agreed. But being ocd about 4 weeks after the installation - plenty of time for the JB weld to cure - I opened a tube of 3M black silicone marine sealant and applied it liberally and smoothly around the perimeter of the edges of the covers about 3/4 of an inch past the edges to...
@TUnica, yes unfortunately you were the first to the issue but your incredibly detailed and accurate video and description saved countless Mustang owners from having potential damage done to their frames and underbody components and your personal fix, while a lot of work, was still very elegant...
@RLE55.....good question. I know of six friends who have had it on their cars since April, including mine. It is still firmly affixed. Maybe more so. I believe it is 3M tape. It is so light that if it did come off (which I think is 99.9% unlikely) it would simply blow out of the engine bay, it's...
Again profusely sorry if this has been posted by me or another - I used the 7G search engine and did not see it. I have posted this on other forums and received glowing feed back from those who used this American Company - Anchor Room. Scroll down the opening page to "Printed Aluminum Plates"...
DIYvan.com - for the kit and the videos. IMO failure to seal these holes will lead to serious component and frame damage especially the front K frame and components. This is a beyond stupid mistake by Ford and at the moment its up to us to fix it. Easily and permanently done with Hein's kit...
@MCS ..... just put some 3M tape etc. over the holes until you get home. You can google anything like Tony Unica Mustang fender fails and you will see his video or google DIYvan.com and there will be links to Mustang fender fail - probably even google mustang fender fail as there have been so...
@Dh1986 ..... terribly disheartening. Start with your dealer, he can access Ford issue complaint structure. I think it is called Oasis but that doesn't matter. Respectfully, review the complaint before the dealer sends it to Ford so you can ensure he has framed it as urgent and ask for a copy...
I brought my 2024 Mustang GT convertible home on 50 miles of two lane black top and 300 miles of mixed 4 plus lane of black top and concrete. After getting home I was reading Mustang information on several forums. I came across a post from Tony Unica of 2024 Mustang fender fail. In it he showed...
Has anyone had transmission whine from their 10R80? Ford has a TSB on the issue and claims it is the straight cut gears on the transmission fluid pump. Mine whines a bit until I hit about 20-25 mph, after that I can't hear it. BTW the S650 transmission shifts amazingly imo.
@bfets ..... I believe Middelton Motors in the U.S. has done a lot of Mustang dyno videos and videos of various massive engine up-grades that I found fun to watch. You might also like the video done by RSA in Florida of the 2000HP GT they built with FFRE (Fast Forward Race Engineering) who won...
