  1. Are you happy they switched to a steel oil pan?

I see "plastic" as a generic term, akin to alloy. Here's one company listing properties of base materials. https://www.plastikcity.co.uk/useful-stuff/material-melt-mould-temperatures I think the problem lies not in that it is plastic, but how that pan was created and installed. Being formed...
  2. Ordered Car is now built but showing $1500 more than when ordered

I'm enclosing some information with detail which could help. Best Wishes at pickup. :like: :please: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/new-car-acceptance-checklist.158844/ ^ This is a thread with a great checklist on what to look for when taking receipt. I'm going to quote myself...
  3. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

That was my thought. No filter maker in-particular, but I've noticed a few posts on this topic and the difficulty of getting the right amount of oil on the filter. Enough to be effective, without so much you run the risk of fouling the MAF/s. I've not used an oiled filter before. IDK if it's a...
  4. High RPM misfire, dealer says it’s normal!?

While not specific to them, we've seen several posts pasts of weird things happening when K&N filters are used. I forget the brand name, but at a recent car meet, someone mentioned Serpent, Specter or something of the sort which had given them codes and faults in a previous generation of...
  5. First S650 2024 Ford Mustang Diecast! 1/18 Dark Horse in Carbonized Gray

Another preview of models to come by Christmas. This seller is in Malaysia...
  6. Foreign Dark Horse owner seeking advise/help

Welcome. 🇦🇪 https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/introduce-yourself-to-mustang7g.156050/ Different car, but mine was originally fitted with Cup2 tires; while grippy, they are very sticky and really a track tire. Being in the Middle East, with wind-blown sand on the roads, they might...
  7. Gloss Black or Satin Black on an Oxford White Dark Horse

You have a few options with that. Check with your installer on using matte clear over the striping itself, regular gloss in other areas. It is more expensive to apply different cuts and finishes, but available for those who'd like.
  8. Gloss Black or Satin Black on an Oxford White Dark Horse

I looked to the DH graphics in stock photos, which appear black satin. So as to compliment, I voted satin. https://www.bbc.com/news/videos/cn87608w389o :giggle:
  9. Blend Date

I see the blend date as when the chassis and body come together. The car is partially built before blend and continues to be built, post blend. In '22, I started production on Day 0 (Memorial Day Weekend), blend on Day 10 and was built by Day 13.
  10. Delay lock touch button

If the car is not working as expected, return to the dealer to discuss and possibly schedule an appointment. The fob, door handles and trunk use bluetooth and have a good range. If your fob is resting in your hand, you next to the door and the handle feature not functioning at all, something...
  11. Warranted Stage 1 Whipple registration?

That's what we were hoping to clarify. Ford's general warranty position is, if aftermarket parts were installed and Ford determines those aftermarket parts caused a failure somewhere else, Ford will deny a warranty claim. Whipple's warranty document on-line says what they'll cover in the...
  12. Warranted Stage 1 Whipple registration?

Hi @Granger Ford , @Zach@Granger , We have a question regarding Ford Mustangs, Whipple SuperCharger upgrades and warranties. @1crazymach is going to have a Whipple installed by an ASE-certified mechanic not associated with Ford. While Whipple's warranty process is clear as to how to certify...
  13. Warranted Stage 1 Whipple registration?

It's my belief self-installs void the Ford powertrain warranty. If the unit was installed by a Ford Technician, Ford and Whipple will warranty the powertrain against Whipple-induced problems, up to $7500 US. See my Edit below. But for self-installs, while you have a warranty with Whipple for...
  14. 2024 gt premium noise

That is correct. I thought they had two. My bad. Any chance something rubbing or vibrating in some way? Not just under hood, but brakes or suspension? It seems to be something which happens when the car is leaning forward as in braking or during a stop? Edit, I wonder if going down in...
  15. 2024 gt premium noise

It could be difficult to time it, maybe you could trip it, but find a way to have both cooling fans running while someone is listening under the hood. IDK if FORScan or something like it could be used to force both fans on for the purposes of t-shooting. FDRS or Ford procedure? Or, maybe as...
  16. Oil change and Oil Life Remaining in FordPass

With the most recent update of FordPass, I've noticed at least one change. Previously, with the car locked and sitting for several days, undisturbed, I could open the app, down-swipe, and listen to the car update with Ford. Now, I can't do that. I confirmed this last weekend for the OLM...
  17. Parking Outside

Over time, yes. Putting a cover on a clean car, recently washed, no problem. After one drive, I would not consider any cover as an option. I'm also not a fan of covers in view of passersby; they imply something of value or interest underneath. Short-term, several things could be done to prevent...
  18. I Finally Filmed it (full Ceramic TInt)!

The colors of the car, calipers, wheels and tint all came together really well. Congrats. :like::clap::party:😁
  19. Hot running car?

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/lets-see-your-gauge-details-what-is-normal.161804/ Along with anything gained in this thread, ^ here's another with a few pages of feedback.
  20. Clutch line recall

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/recall-24s36-leaking-hydraulic-clutch-pressure-line.161527/ Sorry to read of dealers continuing to do things like that. In the thread above, the first post, is the actual procedure, none of which involves driving. I'm glad things worked out for you...
